Digging the flow of the virtual - really fun looking layout.
I can see a “double spinner” bonus for keeping both spinners going for ‘x’ seconds.

I hope there’s a manufacturer watching this thread.
Great work!
Quoted from McSquid:Merry Christmas everyone!
Got these neopixel sticks online to experiment with. Made some mounting brackets and installed them in all the main mode shot inserts. Now we can have light shows within a single insert! Does a great job of getting the players attention, and allows the main mode shot lights to be SUPER bright if all turned on at once.
Brilliant!
Love this build.
Quoted from McSquid:I have spoken with AP. We will see where/if it goes anywhere.
I would buy one.
Quoted from Pinball-Obsessed:Now if we could just get someone to produce this pin so we can get one of those too!
^^ THIS ^^
Quoted from romulusx:Are you listening American Pinball?
Would sell more pins than Hot Wheels - guarantee you that.
Quoted from vec-tor:The formula is for the bare minimal threshold.
Once a playfield meets the threshold the rest is just extra.
Another example is:
Premier/Gottlieb Hollywood Heat... 3-4-12.
Side note:
"High Speed has 5 groups of 3 targets" Answer; true. [ layout target threshold achieved + extra ]
"(though two of these groups aren't "collectible", they're just hit-whichever-one-is-lit)"
Answer; This comment is a rules comment, not a target layout.

Like I said above: "it is just my quirky target terminology/formula I realized many years ago".
Congratulation McSquid on your achievement.
Wow.... triple nerd score - I dig it.
Quoted from AMSNL:Wow this is really awsome! As I’m a big Sega/sonic fan I only can hope that this will hit the market one day... of build me one hahaha
I believe McSquid hinted that he was in talks with a manufacturer.
Quoted from McSquid:CAD is done (until I find 8907123412 last minute problems and panic) It certainly looks like a playfield. I have forseen some problems and adjusted accordingly but I think it will all work out.
Worked on new insert decals. Everything now uses the SONIC target's font. The sonic 1 title card font was impossible to read. Nice and bold on everything now. I also overhauled the ring decal with a thicker ring and no background so hopefully the light that shines through will look like a ring. It will go on a white backed decal so it may actually block enough light to have the desired effect. You should actually be able to tell that those are rings now. The last bit was the speed gauge. I had no idea how to label it and have it not look terrible. Then I had the negative space idea and now its my favorite. CNC cutting should be next weekend. Then inserts, sanding, and clearcoat weather permitting.

Looks amazing!
Seeing as how you’re about to cut one playfield….
If someone were to really, really, really want one of these, what should one expect to pay based on your BOM and your time/programming/engineering/hard work?
Asking for a friend
Quoted from McSquid:No units will be sold without proper licensing from SEGA.
My friend says…. “okay, okay.”
Quoted from McSquid:All cut
That’s awesome. What type of plywood did you go with?
Quoted from P1nhead:"A sensor to determine rate of rotation of the spinner could give data towards the cycling of a flasher pointed at the spinner for a robust (and over-engineered) stroboscopic zoetropic effect.”
That’s what the micro switch triggered by the spinner does. It would make for an interesting effect.
Quoted from McSquid:Even if you think what you have seen of my home-brew is underwhelming, …
Umm … no. Quite the contrary. Congrats on the new gig.
