ok - this is a bit of a shot in the dark' but does anyone have a scan of the manual or schematic of Butterfly? there is nothing on IPDB and I stumbled on an absolutely stunning example of the game, except some putz needed to take the head off and fully hacked the wire bundle in half. I have about 80% wired back in place and the game will play, but there are around 20 or so wires that have duplicates in color and serve wildly different uses (ex - blue/yellow is both credit mech and controlled backbox lamp ground return!)

Hey - just wanted to say thank you for the Butterfly schematics. It took awhile between work, kids, and other repairs/repair work for others - but here's another Sonic saved via complete body to head reattachment!

It's electrical tape - I didn't want to shrink wrap them as I went in case I had to undo/redo any of the splices. Especially when I got to the 13 or so different pairs of wires that were the exact same color, but totally different function. (IE - Blue/Yellow goes to the controlled player lights and a switch on the player select stepper).

It's ugly and there's a better than average chance I go back and wrap them eventually - but it works and I was too excited to wait on wrapping to show the progress.

You couldn't use a plug - unlike a lot of games, the wire length in the original had almost no slack... there was no way to reattach them directly to each other, so I had to run a patch wire for every single wire. Trust me, If I could have stopped at 60 soldered joins instead of 120, I would have.
