I recall reading a while ago that a distributor in Baltimore went out of business and many of these were sold at auction. It would explain the high number of Cherry Bells and Mars Trek's found is the north east.

Quoted from Badamack:Who knows what flipper rebuild kit works with sonic mars trek?
The flipper parts are 100% compatible with Williams EM parts. In my experience, a new coil sleeve, plunger/link and properly adjusted EOS switch are all that is needed. Unless something is broken or missing, the full kit is usually overkill.
As for the pop bumper caps, I do not believe you will find new replacements. You will have to find used ones or use Williams pop bumper caps (which will fit perfectly).
My Mars Trek has them. With the pop bumper off, I tried to clean the are up with ME/Alcohol. It took most of the crud away, but not all of it. I feared I would mess up the playfield trying to remove them. I justed at Butterfly and it has non-adhesive mylar. I can't see anything on my Cherry Bell.
There is a Segasa Triple Action but it seems to have the same playfield colors. This is odd. Too bad there aren't more photos of the playfield.
Quoted from Lysurgeon:I know someone has this game...
Looks like someone tried to hotrod the flippers with a bridge rectifier and something else.
Quoted from statictrance:ok - this is a bit of a shot in the dark' but does anyone have a scan of the manual or schematic of Butterfly? there is nothing on IPDB and I stumbled on an absolutely stunning example of the game, except some putz needed to take the head off and fully hacked the wire bundle in half. I have about 80% wired back in place and the game will play, but there are around 20 or so wires that have duplicates in color and serve wildly different uses (ex - blue/yellow is both credit mech and controlled backbox lamp ground return!)
Here is link to a Butterfly Schematic. Please do NOT download the installer.. just download the file.

I'm enjoy the cabinet repair. The bottom front on my Butterfly is is chipped. Each time I move the game, a bit more falls off. I like the idea of a hard wood replacement bottom section. Nice job saving this classic!
Quoted from lowbeau67:What flipper rebuild kit on pbr is the correct one for
My prospector. I took two old plungers off my flash and used
them assuming they were the same but my flippers have less
travel(rangeofmotion) now.
Seems like the flash plungers were a bit too long.
Thx
