Love this game. I've had a "hard start" Rottendog driver board in here for a long time (sometimes a normal boot, sometimes it seemed to pass the check circuit in the CPU-S board and fire with a wham, occasionally blowing a main fuse.

Lost a fuse on the fliptronics board awhile back. Changed and got a loud hum. Immediately powered off, thinking locked transistor or something...

Long story short - I've changed the CPU board, went w 2 different driver boards ( a good Rottendog and a new Pinballbasement) and get the below error. Fuses are good.

Game wedged way back in a corner, so hoping I'm missing something easy, as pita to move 4 games to get this one to the shop and can't pop the top in current position.

Replaced ribbon cables, had put molex connectors on awhile back, so believe cabling in good. Exact error message w both driver boards, so have to believe something else... Any ideas? Thx

Quoted from MK6PIN:

Fuses are good.

Pulled and checked with a meter ? ( just to be sure )

What voltage is at your 12 volt test point ?

If all good that hints to a CPU issue. Pinwiki has some info on F115 and F116.

J112 shows 9.8v AC off secondary of transformer (?). How does that match the other errors (all 12v)?

(maybe I can stick my head in the coin door to see if a connector is disconnected, but doubtful (my head that is...)

Yep to the fuses

Believe 11.9...will go check again, but certain I've got 12v coming through the board. I've been suspect of the CPU for some time due to the hard starts...ugh

Thanks as always LTG ....onward

According to the manual that is right.

Good luck.

Pinwiki has a short section on this error. Apparently is usually a problem with the trough optos.

Comforting to see this has been an identified issue long before it hit me ( suspect they all are) thx!!

Wrong 12 VDC...You need to measure the 12 VDC unregulated at TP 1 on the Driver Board.
It should be above 12 VDC and less than 300 mv AC

If this voltage is low then unplug J116 J117 & J118 from the Driver Board and check again.

My U20 chip is toast...fortunately socketed, but no spares on hand....might have shorted something when checking the left flipper coil w game live ( mentioned its wedged in the corner so have broken the rules trying to work through the coin door, lol)
