I thought Chicago coin was AMC ?

#31 10 years ago

Back in my Towing/recovery days picked up many a Bmw s with a Chevy of course.
Bmw not worth the $$$ in my opinion, but $$$ for pinball machines worth every penny.

Quoted from Pafasa:the Williams schematics and documentation is more thorough than the other two.

Agreed,more/better info was supplied by Williams followed by ....

#55 10 years ago
Quoted from way2wyrd:

That Granada hurts my eyes.

^< Sunglasses
Spanish Eyes has a pop bumper between the flippers, nudge-o-rif-ic.

#57 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Spanish Eye's but most people who have played them say they are fun.

My brother has the SE and at first I thought the artwork was a little too much but it gets easier on the eyes (no pun) it makes up for it in play though.
In fact its pop between the flips was cooked when he got it, which goes to show it gets a murdering, that and your forearms make you feel like Popeye when your done playing it.

Dodge City "1965" Gottlieb w/ Some backglass animation.
ebay.com link: Dodge City 1965 Gottlieb

#72 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Well the price is nothing great

They never are.

Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

looking for that pin in particular

Anything late fifties early sixties is hit or miss when it comes to having a pinball in good condition, the only thing i would want in poor condition is the back box and cabinet.
Unless its a project and priced accordingly. Some pinball machines (turds) that people want to sell on e-bay or Cl w/high price tags are what I hate.

#86 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Low price but the Playfield is rough. They state it is a 6 out of 10? More like a 5 or less to me.

Who is selling it Ray Charles?
I just read down from known issues and on as that describes it best.

Quoted from Jean-Luc-Picard:No, its pickup-only

I know^ ,was trying to be sarcastic.

#207 10 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Thanks, buddy. It didn't sell last time, but it's good to know if I get drunk and buy it this week, that somebody can pick it up. Maybe NAVL can go straight there, but who knows. Local pickup only.

Take a greyhound crosscountry and stow it underneath the bus.
Imagine the reaction of the bus driver.

When I copy/paste any e-bay link here on pinside i test it before uploading as it has gotten me in the past to a dead link too.

#264 10 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

those would be in just a TAD better condition...

Just more dead prez`s.

#267 10 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

i know that's not an em, but it's close enough...

Its strange that the only difference in the SS technology switch from Em s is that whether this strike & spares or the joker poker, the transition still had the play-ability and look of the Em s except for the digital scoring and sounds.
As time went on you could see it widening farther apart though.
I would take them ,if i could not get the Em equivalent

I used to think Egghead had a terrible art package, but that tin man dude is starting to grow on me.

Yep has quirky comic look to it,my brother and i used to play a lot of Egghead at my grandfathers.
Ahh the good old no worry days.

Looks like the Girls were mud wrestling though. I like it!

#466 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Playfield has seen better days though.

For a local pick-up could be a bargain if kept under $200 even w/playfield wear.

#468 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

I agree Pin-it. Usually I would say for that price i would buy it if it were local too but I don't know what is local to me anymore because of our out of state move to be. I just hate being in a holding pattern for 6 more months.
Ken

Shipping kills it for me on e-bay purchases though.
My brother (intopinball) got one off e-bay the other day and picked it up this morning. Dealers choice by Williams 30 minutes away from him.

What the heck is going on here, you got 2 Pins in the past 2 days and my brother got 3 pins within the past 2 weeks.

In need the infection.
Kudos to another nice pin in the lineup.
Sounds like your gonna need a big game room in your future.

#601 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

One can only hope Pin-it. Guess I have to talk to the wife again about square footage.
Ken

Living rooms and dining rooms are over rated,a house needs just a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and gameroom.

#681 10 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Don't go thinking it's all great deals on So Cal's Craigslist. You always have to weed through a bunch of crap to find something worthwhile. But at the same time you have to be ready to pounce when the opportunity arises.
I'll let you guys be the judge on this one-

#714 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

Been doing some research between Sonic and Recel seeing I just bought my "Prospector". I think Sonic had the better quality and design overall. Just my 2 cents.
Ken

The only negative is the cabinet material Sonic used as they had a tendency to break apart/ delaminate.

#727 10 years ago

Brrrr from Nepa, got back from brothers in Nj wednesday evening and walked into a freezer of 43 degrees, fast forwarded 24 hrs it hit 63.
Wood pellet stove takes awhile to heat up the house but once it's rolling it gets warm enough to hover around 64-70 when outside temps are above 28,any colder it's not going to keep up (hovers around 60 and above) but it's fine as I don't like a hot house.

#729 10 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

lol, yea... and it sure does! hopefully get some good quality "outdoor" time in, since i doubt we will have too many more weekends like this one... celebrating 23 wonderful years of marriage on sunday...

dang... i'd freeze... as it is i freeze all winter long with the temp set to 65 in the house... i don't think my fingers or toes will be warm again for 6 months...

Happy anniversary ^^ Like the cooler weather/temps 55-70 is fine w/me.

#731 10 years ago
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

Time to sell a kidney for this Gottlieb Gemini ...*kidding*
Ebay link

Current bid $5000 reserve not met? might have to sell a kidney. Too bad the playfield has some flipper wear.

#734 10 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

$5k with reserve not met seems a bit excessive?

I`ll say,^^ its nice and all but i guess if someone has the funds to buy then they have enough not to care about the cost.
Priced up there with a newer machine.

Quoted from ccotenj:wonder what it will go for?

I would be surprised if it sells over $2500.00 but i could be wrong.

#744 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

I thought the last one that was on Ebay sold for over $8000.00?

Ouch !

Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

The last one that was not as nice as this one sold for 8k about 4 months ago.

Double Ouch!

Quoted from ccotenj:

i'd rather have a king of diamonds remake...

If spending that kinda cash i agree.
More money to be spent on others unless you have a big collection ands its one of the final pieces to complete it.

#746 10 years ago

Sounds like a lot of candles are going to be used this month.

#755 10 years ago
Quoted from AlexF:

Shoveling snow is kind of like mowing the lawn in the Spring.

It takes me longer to cut the grass(3 hours each week) versus plowing snow ,plus i dont get snow every week.
Gives me a break from the bugs too.

Time to take my mower deck off and put the plow frame on my tractor before the snow hits though, but one final haircut/leaf mulch for the lawn yet. No, i do not rake leaves.

I see a biker type wallet in your future, and dont worry about the possible scratching of paint its not your vehicle.
When i was towing cars the chained wallet was well worth it.

Quoted from o-din:

I just spent the whole evening driving from here to hell and gone knocking on doors and leaving notes. I can't believe how far some people go to get their car tested. They must like us. But no wallet. Yet.

Thats sucks^^ ,hopefully it turns up, being its the holidays it may be in your favor as someone may feel more impelled to return it.
