Unless of course his grandfather posted the pix on IPDB years ago (not likely, though).

Seller confirmed that's not his "Mexico" pictured.

Oh, OK. I could have sworn I saw different pictures when I first opened the eBay listing.

You did. The seller has now changed the pictures (dropping down from three pics to two). The new pics still look 'borrowed' though.

Yep - flipper sold!

Wish people would use NOS correctly - it's a repro glass on the flipper clown, not new old stock!

Nice price on the Flipper Clown, saw what looked like dark coloratioin in the wood around the pops like it was water damaged but not bad at all.

damn... cali...

edit: interesting flipper orientation...

#2214 9 years ago

Aquarius is not the best art but plays good
the part i like best is the use of flippers as lane guides

#2215 9 years ago

Ah, not much of a game. I kinda like the backglass art though.

#2216 9 years ago

Looks like a good start price to me and a title you do not see too much that's available.

$375.00 start bid and no reserve.

I just picked up a Full House last month, Missing coin mech, Looks like it takes nickles or dimes. am I correct, where might I find one?

Most likely if it is a 2 coin slot: 10 cents for 1 play and 3 plays for 25 cents

I get my coin mechs off eBay as they come up quite often.

Ooh, that ones on my wishlist. EM multiball! Fortunately it's far away so I don't need to worry about it.

Yes, the coin mechs on these take multiple denominations and can be tough to find. I am working on a Teacher's pet with the same coin door. It takes Quarters, Nickels and dimes. Pretty slick.

#2220 9 years ago

if you need a .25 mech i have a box just foot the shipping
the .05 and .10 are harder to find i have some but don't part with them to often

#2221 9 years ago

Dave you're always good with your spares. But this one unfortunately is a single mech that takes multiple denominations. It's unique.

I believe they are the same as used in Jukeboxes back in the 50's and 60s. But I am not completely sure on the size.

Single slot, dimes or nickels

Interesting.

First time I remember seeing a multiple coin slot and don't remember seeing mechs for them on eBay either, but I was not looking for them as well. I tend to buy 70's games and am not as well versed in 60's games special item parts.

Good luck in your quest.

I just don't want to get the wrong one, Guess ill have to call Steve

#2227 9 years ago

those multi-coin rejectors can get pricey
i sold one that was pretty rare to a collector oversea from a wurlitzer 2000 for 200.00
i think it was made just for that model only and hard to come by, i got it in a box of parts from a auction

#2228 9 years ago

hmmm... i have a few coin rejectors that came out of wallboxes lying around here... they are "big" like the one pictured in the linked ebay ad... if we can figure out what you need and i have it, i'll send you one...

#2229 9 years ago

Most rejectors come in standard sizes so outside measurements is a start. However, there are some differences on where the coins enter (although that's mostly standard too) and where they come out. This is probably the most critical part.

The same type of multi-coin mech acceptors were used in coin changers. And different brands have the various coins come out in different slots at the bottom.

Where did you see problems with the clear? If it doesn't get bid up it might be worth getting one that has been sitting up for a few years.

Quoted from btw75:

Looks like some 'orange peel' or maybe some dimpling? The light seems to reflect off it to give it a pebbled look. Hard to tell.

#2234 9 years ago

looks like it has issues with the clear. with wade doing it soon I will wait and get one that has no clear on it

Even the inside of that coin door is spotless! Not even a cobweb. They must have had a great maid at grandma's house.

I agree. Make sure you have a fat wallet out for this one!

If I were the seller IMHO I would have paid for someone to put up a better auction description with better pictures to go along with these high-dollar games. There's steak but no sizzle!

#2242 9 years ago

Glad I got my Joker Poker fix out of the way early on, or who knows, I might have mortgaged my house on this one.

1975 Gottlieb Spirit of 76

Pinside discount of $500.00 if the deal is done outside of eBay and I pay no fees, so $900.00.

#2248 9 years ago

My guess is 36-38k

Space Walk 15k
Gemini 8k
Joker Poker 8k
Close Encounters 6k

#2249 9 years ago

My guess it never hits reserve. No one buyer is likely looking for 4 holy grails.

#2250 9 years ago

That's true. I'm guessing he'd have more success selling them individually. Probably would have been smartest to sell one at a time about a month apart.
