Quoted from Pecos:

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Fan-Tas-Tic / EM 4 Player
Month/Year: September, 1972
Production: 5,680
Cost: $487
Location: Eaton Rapids (Lansing), MI
Link/Contact: " target="_blank">lansing.craigslist.org link
Condition: OP: "Original graphics on case, play area in great shape, back glass artwork flaking very slightly. Everything works as far as I can tell. "

I'm considering looking at this unit, it's in the next town over from me. Found this thread when trying to find info on it. So I signed up for the site and started lurking lol I'm a complete beginner with pins outside of the hours spent playing them in my youth. Not sure if I should go for an EM as my first machine, assuming the price is fair.

Quoted from NicoVolta:

Nothing wrong with an EM as your first game. Actually, I think they're easier to start with all things considered. However, you'll have 16 score reels to disassemble and clean vs. a single player game. But hey, all EM's take time to go through anyway... so if you're meticulous and mechanically inclined... go for it!
Fan-Tas-Tic is a good game -and hey- middle-pop alert! This is one of only three pins with 3" flippers and a middle-pop bumper between them. I think everyone should have at least one middle-pop game in their collection. They're really cool and the layout is different enough to teach you new flipping skills.

Thanks for the feed back. I think I have the wife sold on this one(she like the 80s-current ones most) and have an email in to go look at it. Watched a couple repair videos seems pretty straight forward.

I just picked up a Fan Tas Tic myself, fun game. $200 on Craigslist. Game lit up but wasnt working, no keys. Simple fixes. It worked 10 minutes after getting it home.

Awesome another Fan-Tas-Tic in MI. Didn't see that one pop up on CL where was it at?

As bad as I want this I know I can't make it out there before it's snagged. Sharing so hopefully a fellow pinsider can give it a good home. Then I can beg to buy it later

Quoted from Otaku:

You'd be surprised, that title sits for a while. I wouldn't pay that for it, not sure if others would. Certainly not a "get up and go" deal either, if anything it's retail. There was one for $250 that sat around here for a while on CL. If you actually could get up there I'd say you have like 2 or 3 weeks to do so.

Most things in the Detroit area seem to go pretty quick. But I'll have to keep an eye on it. Kinda stuck right now as I have to rent a van to go get it so add $80 to the price. (truck needs some front end work) Thought it would be cool to have next to my Fan-Tas-Tic with the center spinner and all.

Grats that's an awesome haul. I've heard both are great players. I'm looking at an SO76 tomorrow actually. No where near the deal you got though. Enjoy
