Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

That Surf Champ would have been gone in 15 minutes or less here in Dallas.

Im quicker than that Id have it in 10

--Jeff

#3369 10 years ago
Quoted from textrivers:

It's been in a barn for 20 years. The playfield glass has been missing for at least that long. The backglass is also gone, but a nice sheet of blue tarp has been cut to fit and taped neatly into place. The cabinet is painted the same color as the barn ("Figured I'd do 'em at the same time, save me some money," says the seller). The raccoons and possums have been fighting a war of attrition with each other over who will have urination rights on the playfield, but to an outside observer it could only appear that both sides have won. The options are: 1) fire and lots of it, 2) painstaking restoration to make it "original," or 3) re-theme.

My friend found two of these. One got donated for a retheme for a school charity auction.

Normally that wouldnt sit well with me but there was nothing to save really...

--Jeff

Quoted from Garrett:

Now that just doesn't look right....

freakin ugly, imho

#3978 10 years ago
Quoted from CactusJack:

I know this game doesn't get much love but its actually a fun game for beginner players (kids etc.). Pops are DC and the game makes a lot of noise since the Side Rebound rubbers score 50 points instead of 10.

I owned this game for a while and its really fun for 2 people. They didnt make 7k of them because they sucked

--Jeff

#3986 10 years ago

OK opinion time.
What is this really worth and should it show up in my garage this weekend.
Ive made what i consider to be a reasonable offer and the seller seems willing.

austin.craigslist.org link

opinions??

--Jeff

#3993 10 years ago
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

If you really want it Jeff make an offer right away for the $300-$350 range. The Playfield is hash and would require a complete airbrush paint job. Sounds like it has more problems then just missing screws as well. Cool game once it had a total restore though.

Im a cheap bastard my offer is nowhere near the asking price.
I dont think the pf repaint would be too hard and mechanically im not real worried about it.

Im going to look Friday and we shall see how it plays out

thanks for the opinions
