Quoted from PMcGee:She said a guy drove 3 hours to look at it last night. Said they looked it all over and didn't want it because they could not get the tilt light to come on. She said she offered it to them for free, and they turned it down.
HUH? Turned down a free pinball machine after driving three hours because he couldn't get the bleepin' tilt light to come on! Was this guy a crackhead or something?
You should have gotten it for free too then.
Quoted from PMcGee:I dismantled it, alone, and took it down the stairs one step at a time using an appliance dolly, also alone, and loaded it by myself.
This story is eerily similar to a "Dealer's Choice" I got for free in midtown Manhattan. There was no key for the backbox. As he was looking for a big screwdriver, I pulled out my keyring and tried all the small keys I had. The key to my truck's cap fit perfectly and opened the lock as if it was made for it!
I too brought the game down a narrow, winding flight of steps on a hand truck, one step at a time. That game is really heavy too. I made some nice gouges in the plaster of the stairwell in the process. The guy said, "ah, don't worry about it"! It was about 100 degrees out that day too, and I was totally spent after pushing the game about a block and a half on the handtruck after wrestling it down the stairwell. It was all I could do to muster the strength to lift the head up onto the tailgate and slide it into the bed. As I recall, the cabinet on that game was just about perfect. I sold it and I believe the guy that bought it still has it in his collection.
