I wish I was closer!!!

#11994 8 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

And a Spanish Eyes for $3500-

#12033 8 years ago

I love our Vulcan, which is the four-player version, but you're right that at $1,500 this is seriously overpriced (based on my admittedly limited experience!).

#12035 8 years ago

Well, I guess that just shows how fortunate I was to get my Vulcan for the price I paid.

#12038 8 years ago
Quoted from AlexF:

Fire Queen is the more desirable of the two. Cooler back glass.

I get that, but I greatly prefer having a four player.

#12069 8 years ago
Quoted from Wickerman2:

Great game, if it's solid--backglass/paint etc. that's a good price...not "bargain basement" but good.

Sold mine for $500, which was stupid. It was in fine shape and definitely worth more.

#12096 8 years ago
Quoted from ccotenj:

he hit me at a pretty good speed...

Sorry to hear that. I was hit by a cyclist a few years ago. Cyclists are, understandably, worried about being hit, but they might not realize how much damage they can do to a pedestrian.

#12105 8 years ago

Wow.

#12403 8 years ago

Love it. Congrats!

#12418 8 years ago

I had an excellent Volley with all new plastics, etc., that I sold for $500 (and on which I lost about $300). I regret it every time I see the game mentioned!

#12426 8 years ago

It's local to me, but there is no way I could find room for it. Otherwise, I'd be over there checking it out, for sure.

Actually, there are several pin collectors in the area, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is snapped up quickly.

#12447 8 years ago

Probably a good thing I don't live near Chicago any more!

#12468 8 years ago

So many pins, so little space. Sigh...

#12501 8 years ago

Congrats, John. Hope it works out for you.

#12534 8 years ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

Grab the "Flip A Card" in NH while you're heading that way.

My thoughts exactly!

Quoted from John_in_NC:

What's the furthest any of you have personally driven to get a machine.

I am about to drive to central Florida to pick up a Bowling Queen. I drove there once before to get my LOTR. In July, I drove to Massachusetts to pick up another pin. That's the extent of my range--so far.

#12655 8 years ago

So many pins, so little space!

#12668 8 years ago
Quoted from pinballdork:

And Paradise's Ugly drunk sister, Pleasure Isle.

A shame. I'd much rather get the AAB version, but not in this case. I really want to get a good two-player AAB someday.

#12673 8 years ago
Quoted from AlexF:

Only 230 made, two backless animations, one of the few true multi-player AABs and it's got the cool passing kick outs.

Now you have my attention! Hope I come across one of these someday. Chances are I have already but, foolishly, I overlooked it since it was an EM. Ah, my misspent youth...

#12677 8 years ago

Okay, so Pleasure Isle is on the list. Thanks!

#12724 8 years ago

Beautiful!

I just got home myself with my Bowling Queen. Pics to follow.

#12782 8 years ago
Quoted from 1974DeltaQueen:

I sent an email on the El Dorado, I will be up in that area tomorrow.

Sounds like it could be a heck of a find.

#12811 8 years ago
Quoted from goldenboy232:

Friendship 7 in Tacoma

Just put that on my wish list yesterday, but I wasn't wishing for it to be on the opposite side of the country!

This is the second time this month I wished I lived in Wisconsin. Soon enough, winter will arrive, and I'll be glad to be in NC.

#13014 8 years ago

It's easy to see how some people end up with fifty or five hundred pins. I'd love to have another AAB, and that Capt. Card is tempting. Sigh...

#13064 8 years ago

I wish I liked the art on Flipper Clown. I'd love to have another good AAB pin.

#13066 8 years ago

I think the clown on Cyclone is fine, for instance, but at least one of the clowns on FC is downright creepy!

#13094 8 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

4 Roses- $400

raleigh.craigslist.org link

That's relatively close to me, and I thought briefly about giving it a look, but I just don't think it's an attractive pin (especially the backglass), so I wouldn't want it in my collection. I had a chance at a nearly perfect Mibs for the same price and had to pass on it for the same reason. Just once, I'd like to love the looks of a pin that everyone else thinks is ugly!

#13096 8 years ago

Tastes vary. No worries. Just wish I loved it. I've never gotten a pin for as little as $400.

#13099 8 years ago
Quoted from boilerman:

get it and use it as trade bait... it is a good game so I am sure others might want it

I don't have much free space, so every game has to count. Still, if I can get time tomorrow, it might be worth a look.

#13101 8 years ago

In fact, I just sold one today! More to come, I am sure.

#13105 8 years ago

Dang. Now for that, I'd drive to Raleigh in a heartbeat!

#13178 8 years ago

Yikes! That Aztek is, well, words fail me.

#13182 8 years ago

Another great NC find!

#13187 8 years ago
Quoted from DirtFlipper:

It's probably only a Space Walk.

I guess we'll never know.

#13206 8 years ago

"I no nothing else as is not going to plug in no debating no taking it apart whats in pictures is what I have and that's all $1200."

Well, I'm convinced!

#13230 8 years ago

I wonder what "working order...needs work" means.

#13236 8 years ago

"needs some cabinet work". Masters of understatement.

Anybody know what the story is with this guy on Mr. Pinball? He has a lot of desirable titles in multiple listings, but it all sounds too good to be true. For example:

Turf Champ, Hayburners, Jalopy, Spark Plugs, Sea Jockeys, Control Tower, Freshie, Majorettes, Hong Kong, Twenty Grand, Silver Skates, Fairway, Army Navy, Band Wagon, Piccadilly, Hot Diggity, Starfire, Kings, Reno, Jig Saw, Kick Off, 4-star, Casino, 3-D, Tic Tac Toe, 1950s, 1960s Williams: 250 per game pick any 150 games from my lists
Jack
Cincinnati, Ohio

If it is legit and you're going there, I'd love to have you pick up something for me if we can work things out. But, as I said, it all sounds too good to be true.

#13365 8 years ago

Thanks. I really don't have my hopes up. It's too far for me to pop over, so that greatly reduces the chances that I'd buy anything. I did want to mention it, all the same. I didn't know if it was something new or an old story.

#13380 8 years ago

I'm a Yalie. Wish l were closer.

#13397 8 years ago

I'd happily buy it if I lived closer (but for the $975, not the $3k). Still, I'd prefer to get a Melody. It's on my short, short list.

#13399 8 years ago

Well, when you tire of the same old Melody...

#13510 8 years ago

You know you're in trouble whenever the ad mentions the age of the machine!

I guess "for my age" I'm in pretty good shape, too...

#13574 8 years ago

I'd be on that in a flash!
