Well, next time your in town, look me up! I'm about 20 minutes up the highway. Pretty nice there in January, eh?
Oh, and bring me a nice Egghead while you're at it, would ya?

Would that fit in the cargo section of an airbus? )

Amazing place. I should just sell everything (except the pins) and move out there. You can't beat walking the beach morning and night. I'd miss the cornfields though........yeah right

Newport has always been way out of my financial ways and means, but not too long ago I lived in San Clemente which was the 100% opposite lifestyle of Newport. More laid back. But the word got out, and it got crazy expensive too. So I moved inland back to good old Fullerton. Same as it ever was.

Oh, and I grow corn.

Will do. I'd like to see your games. Won't be going back anytime soon though as that trip was prepaid - haha. I do like the beach life. I did paddleboard while I was out there - that was fun. Surf - forget it - not this Illinois farmer.........

#1804 10 years ago

Dave you and I have the exact! same taste in wedgeheads. Great score on the flying carpet. I have not seen many for sale in this area and the ones I did look at were in very bad shape. that one looks to be very nice.
this thread is so long I forget what is said 4 pages back so I missed you were trying to get it.

I bet the water was a little chilly though.

Dirtflipper seems to like most of the same games we like too. You'll find your Flying Carpet and Drop a Card. I looked 2 years for my C-37, my Drop a Card, and my 2001.

At EXPO now so I'm heading back to play some more.

It was. Only got a little wet once.

Not true! I'm also afflicted with woodrails...

#1813 10 years ago

We'd know this if you added your collection to your profile.

Too many places to keep track of things then...

(one place to manage is enough!)

#1815 10 years ago

I hear you. It's just fun sometimes to peek at a collection on the fly.

I like woodrails too but I don't have the space or the time to restore them

#1818 10 years ago

Card Whiz ^ hard to see what the Bg /playfield looks like though.

gottlieb sunset - $150 - high bridge (nj)
somebody buy this to save it from being parted out... seller also listed it on mr. pinball with the notation that he may part it out...

Well... I went and saved it today... It's a bit rough. It is certainly a project.

Hopefully a backglass will come up some day.

In the meantime, Pin-It can make room and get busy...

Happy to oblige.

I just picked up a 1971 Gotlieb Roller Coaster while at Expo (no the pin was not at the Expo, but about 40 minutes away).

It's HUO! A physician bought it brand new in 71 and had it in his house for 4 decades. I just purchased it from the second owner who had done some work on the Dr's house and spotted the pin.

It's in amazing condition and works 100%. Has all the original paper work and never used pricing lables. Sorry about no pics yet but it's still in the back of my vehicle.

I paid $550 for it.

Not very often you see a Sonic pinball machine for sale. Good price too:

Thanks. The cab could use a new paint job and the playfield is starting to crack in lower blue area (is that fixable?). But it does work 100% and overall is in great shape for a 42 year pin.

#1828 10 years ago

Here's one where bad photos may add to the allure. It's really giving that 70s effect.

Most 70's pf's seem to have cracks as opposed to the 60's that don't.

Regular waxing I guess is main thing to do.,

Now you've done it! Watch out, EMs multiply much faster than DMDs. But nice looking machine. Welcome to the club.

I got a bit out there one night, and tried to edit a post and couldn't. I didn't realize that the thread had just been locked, so I went around and started to edit whatever else I could. I destroyed some good stuff that night, including wiping out my profile. I may get around to putting them back up.

That only happened because you've been buying so may games lately and have a lot of editing to do )

That, and I had a Jack fueled re-boot. But everything is getting back to normal. I'm having a lot of fun with my wedgeheads, too.

I'm having a lot of fun with my wedgeheads too and am playing the heck out of a C-37 I just got.

And then there were two...

If that Top Card and Grand Prix were closer... I'd have to make some more room...

#1841 10 years ago

Funny how there's two of the same vintage game in the same city:

I like this part of the description-
The cabinet has some names and scores scratched in it, most of them from liars claiming to have scored over one million.
