No, I sold him four of the five games over a decade ago. Not my interest now. The King Pin is the only one that appeals to me game play wise but is a rough example.

Saw that. Looks like a decent backglass on it. "Mouly Rouge" is down to $550. Go there and offer them $250 for it. They'll probably take it.

It's not CL, but you don't see Grand Tours come up very often...
(XMission classifieds)
Grand Tour, 1964 Bally: $800
Challenging game in nice shape that plays 100%. Playfield is a 9. Cabinet is solid and was repainted by a previous owner in the original factory design. Very nice job. Backglass is 8+. Some light flaking but the glass has been sealed to prevent further loss. The game is set on free play. Pictures available. Scammers don't waste your time or mine. Prefer local pickup.

I know the seller. Good guy to deal with.

Is Rancho that good of a game? I know NicoVolta really wants one as well. I love my 70's Williams multiplayers and they are very very solid games - but my Rancho sits in my garage disassembled, never tried it out yet. Picked it up for $100 or $200 a few months back, whatever it was. Guy calls me up and says "Want anything else?", so brought home an $80 Triple Strike too in mint condition and that ended up becoming the "main game" of the deal that got set up in my garage first, just dirty and missing the backglass. He had a Super Star for $80 too but I already had a mint one and wouldn't of had room in my truck anyways - no sleep lost over passing on that one.
He was headed to the area too so he delivered both (met him somewhere convenient for him about 15-20 minutes away) for that price as well from Connecticut.

If you are buying mint EMs for $80 I need to either move to NJ or pay you to pick me up some stuff.
Quoted from NicoVolta:I FINALLY found one a couple of months ago... and it just happened to be the nicest EM I ever picked up. $600 from St. Louis. 22-hour round trip, but hey, I knew what was on the line.
Did you get a good look at that Tom Tom when you were there? I've not played one, but it might fit in real good around here.
Quoted from Barkz:If you are buying mint EMs for $80 I need to either move to NJ or pay you to pick me up some stuff.
Mint is subjective and a lot of people here are super picky but not a wear mark on the playfield from what I can see and the cabinet is pretty spotless besides under the legs. Just needs mechanical love and it was filled with cat hair, which if you read my posts, is my arch nemesis as I'm slightly allergic and it's impossible to get all the hair and dander out of the wiring and it just grosses me out. So it never made it into the basement yet. Hopefully one day.
Also, that being said a lot of Williams games don't get the eBay love they deserve, so no I'm not high, it really was in pretty nice shape although listed as a rough project with bad pictures.
I feel like I underpaid for every single Williams game I own (minus maybe one or two if that), actually...
Some people would buy a Gottlieb on fire and race there to put it out for $200. I love my Gottliebs and appreciate the low cost deal pricing you can sometimes get on Williams games but they sure deserve to be closer together.
My Strato-Flite and Liberty Bell (both FANTASTIC games, like wow, especially Liberty Bell - both have really really fun rules and DC pop bumpers/flippers) came to me in really nice condition as well, both for really really cheap. Strato-Flite was $100, Liberty Bell was $250 I believe, my Space Mission was $100, etc., etc...
Quoted from NicoVolta:22-hour round trip
I'd call you insanely crazy but that'd be unfitting considering you're about to go off on your pinball tour across the US & Canada and back
Quoted from o-din:Did you get a good look at that Tom Tom when you were there? I've not played one, but it might fit in real good around here.
I confess I did not, but all of his stuff was in good condition. And, as I always like to say...

Have you tried Grand Prix? Pretty much the same layout as Liberty Bell. Artwork isn't as nice (IMHO) but many more lights and gameplay a bit more interesting overall.
Certainly both are good and with Liberty Bell you could do the patriotic trifecta from each of the big three: Freedom, Spirit of 76, and Liberty Bell. Or four if you'd like to go with Playmatic's Conquest 200/New World.
Anyway... back OT post: dallas.craigslist.org link

Actually, no. "Mint" is not subjective. The problem is that the word (along with the word "rare") is overused and used incorrectly. Grading items, such as coins for instance, uses specific terms which are universal among collectors, and as such are not misleading when used properly. If an item is truly "mint", it has absolutely no flaws, and was never used or circulated. There probably isn't a truly "mint" pinball machine anywhere. "New in box" is as close as you might get to "mint", but you could probably find factory flaws on any brand new machine right out of the box if you look hard enough. Try to limit your use of that word, especially when grading a game for sale. There are many other more accurate ways to describe a very nice original machine, such as "very good original condition".

I do not have photos of all games. We have a lot of other odd things there but not sure what. In about a month we will be opening our other storage unit that has about 50 more pinballs. It is not ready and it will not be available to look at BUT i will have a list of the games for those that come tomorrow.
Some of the pinballs are functional but will need gone through and adjusted and restored. Some of them do not have the metal back door, top glass, balls, leg bolts or legs. Some of them do some do not. Haunted house needs work, buck rogers works but no sound. The mechanical games are not perfect, some function some do not, not sure about backglasses. I am only there about 3 times a year so I am not able to remember each games condition."

I just picked up an Aladdin's Castle, the pin is very underrated. Lots of shots, strategy and real cool art. You play a ball right and you get 30K in bonus. I love the fact that it awards free games and same player shoots again. Instead of giving you a 100,000 light, a message lights up on the backbox " OVER THE TOP", which I think is pretty cool and different. The only negative I have is the double flipper on the right, it really isn't necessary to have two flippers because either flipper can make any shot you want.
Bally went a little double-flipper-happy in the late 70's.
Aladdin's Castle? Not necessary.
Harlem Globetrotters? Works well.
Captain Fantastic? Utterly superfluous.
Paragon? Frustrating but fun.
Any others?

Actually I have been into nuismatics since 1969 when my dad gave me a shoebox full of coins and a Blue Book. Coin Collecting has evolved since and there are actually 11 grades of mint state condition, MS60-MS70. These are handed out by folks at PCGS, NGC and the like and there are standards and qualifications with each grade. You also have to pay a fee per coin to have this grade awarded and then the piece becomes encased or slabbed as us coin nuts call it. With all the technology we have, and the people in this hobby, it's wonder why we don't have a guide book to determain a 7 from an 8. Light planking, kickout wear, flipper drag, arch wear, spots in backglass or percetage of missing ink, scratches on stencils, chipped corners, etc..., Right now guys grade pins like chicks, some see one thing, others see them differently.
