Quoted from DirtFlipper:

Wms Twenty Grand woodrail for $500 in Seattle:
seattle.craigslist.org link
Gtb Wishing Well for $1100 in CA:
losangeles.craigslist.org link
Gtb World Champ for $2250 (same seller):
losangeles.craigslist.org link

Wishing Well looks nice ( wrong coin door though ) and hard to see p/f.

World Champ looks pricey, wrong legs, pf wear ( expected for this title ).

Posting this because I have never seen one before:

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Strike Zone / EM
Month/Year: September 1970
Production: Unknown
Cost: $450

Link/Contact: dayton.craigslist.org link

Condition: OP: "This particular machine is a hard one to find and overall is in good condition."

Wms Oh Boy for $1200 in CA:
sfbay.craigslist.org link

(seems very o-din-esque)

Gtb Sweet Hearts for $1500 in PA:
pittsburgh.craigslist.org link

with the worst Sweet Hearts playfield I've ever seen. Really too bad, as the rest of the game looks promising. Hopefully the seller will adjust to reality and this game could be a good donor if someone has a good playfield.

#13655 8 years ago

Wow! You're right on that playfield on Sweet Hearts!

#13656 8 years ago

Take one zero off on that "Sweet Hearts" price, and it still may be too much! What a wreck!

Here's a job opening for anyone in DesMoines, IA!

"Hey.. Looking for some people who like to work on pinball machines.. Do you like to work on them.? Do you like to teach and help other pinball owners.... Do you have any of your own...? .....We need someone to help with electrical or problem solving skills... Why they don't work or break down for unknown reasons..LOL"

And you are correct! I would love to get one of those but again San Francisco is a long way from here. So to cool my thirst for 60s multiplayers I picked up a Lite-A-Card and Captain Kidd locally. Those two belly bar games look pretty good sitting next to each other.

Here's an interesting one-

Everything goes tomorrow!
Large patio table + 7 chairs chaise lounger FREE for removal
of broken pinball machine. Everything else is free for hauling
1 garbage bag away.

They don't mention what pinball machine they have and there are no pics of it. If nothing else I wouldn't mind getting that vintage 4 slice toaster.

It's probably just some old broken down Gottlieb Mermaid.........who cares!

It was just so you guys in the rest of the country know that even here in So Cal people collect lots of junk.

I'm confused - that's old isn't it? Dated 11/13?

I've got an older one.

Hah, now I'm really confused. Anyway, for the first time I just did a search on "pinball machine" on CL for OC, and I was surprised how many of them there are. Some of them look pretty nice too. Lots more than get reported here. I've never bought or sold anything via CL though. I always wonder how reliable it is for such transactions. I've heard stories.

I've never had any trouble

I've bought 8 EM games via CL over the past year and have had no problems.

#13668 8 years ago

OK, I will have to consider it. But I need to hide away from it anyway and avoid getting tempted. I started out with one machine not that long ago, and somehow it turned into 3 much more quickly than I would have thought. I don't have --much-- room for more.....

They are almost making it too easy on us.

#13670 8 years ago

I wish I could stop buying games on CL...

(ok, not really)

Sad and depressing:
waterloo.craigslist.org link

I remember the original ad from a year ago or so. Games were all stuffed into a small garage and covered with other things. Several folks seemed to have made attempts to buy, but the seller thought he had a gold mine. Truly a pity. The games will rot into scrap and the seller will end up with nothing to show for it. No one wins.

#13672 8 years ago

Yup, all because he dint sell them!!

That's what I said too. I'm up to 17 and still no room for more.

#13674 8 years ago

Man. that is sad.

Don't waste your time with this seller. Very strange dude who thinks his games are worth lots of $$$$$ - poor blurry pics and all.

That was pretty clear from the original ads a year ago...

Just bummed to see the games have their fate sealed like this. The Sky Jump looked to be a pretty decent example (back then).

Next you will stash a few in a friends garage. A few at work. Put one at the parents house.
It's hard to stop.

This guy in Penn State (about 3 hours from me) has 5 EM's for sale, they all seem in decent shape, but prices hoving all for just under 1k. I really really want to get into EM's but know nothing about what plays good, what is considered the top titles, ect. I know I like the Single Player Gottleib Wedge Heads the best from what little I have played at Shows and what not. Check out this listing and let me know what you all think. pennstate.craigslist.org link

Buccaneer or Sure Shot would be my picks out of those(all a matter of opinion)...as far as prices, if they are 100% running, no terrible flaking backglass/cabinet or planked playfield I would say paying 600-800 is a fair deal for a shopped EM (if you are starting with no clue on how to repair them). Once you learn how to fix them you can buy the broken ones for $200-300 and then befoe you know it you'll have 10 games.

#13681 8 years ago

I like the top card if that's original paint it's well preserved. The coin door is very nice and if the back glass isn't flaked and the playfield isn't worn or planked, then $750 is a solid offer for a nice working game . Pictures are worth 1000 words but visual inspection is worth a thousand pictures .

I went down to the antique store in Long Beach and looked at that Wishing Well yesterday. It is in great shape (better than the one I had) but decided the gameplay is too similar to Frontiersman so I passed. I think that is why I sold mine in the first place. The Carolina was in excelent shape as well and was kind of fun to play but I passed on that one too. Very pretty game though. I did however get the guy's phone # that is selling these old woodys.

300 near Indianapolis. Playfield and backglass both look pretty good. Works with scoring issues.

Thanks for the bump. I don't think those three are "nice looking" but I do have a nice looking Flipper Parade available.
