Fun game, but I wouldn't go for the EM version. Like Rawhide, it uses the last of Chicago Coin's EM part inventory... and that means a ton of those crappy proprietary card-edge connectors on the score reels. 16 of them. No thank you.

Quoted from Black_Knight:I'm checking out a Stern Pinball EM this morning. ANyone have thoughts on it?

Basically a rare Chicago Coin machine with only 594 units produced. It was one of those EM to SS transition pins. I cannot remember playing one but the layout looks like fun, but generally the play on CC games are lackluster at best IMO. Personally having owned a couple Chicago Coin machines at one time I find that they are clunky and there are better options for your Gameroom.
Just my 2 cents

Thx for the feedback. My schedule changed today and not going to be able to check it out easily. After the comments I'm not planning to go out of my way to make it work.
"I no nothing else as is not going to plug in no debating no taking it apart whats in pictures is what I have and that's all $1200."
Well, I'm convinced!

'57 Royal Flush

That '57 Royal Flush was at an estate sale there a week ago or so. Guess it's up for a flip now.
on the '57 Royal flush, That must be one expensive sawhorse... imagine what they would charge if it had no back legs either. Throwing in another sawhorse for the back would surely get it up to $2,200.
that $475 Stern Pinball sure beats this one that has lasted 3 weeks so far with no price adjustment. I love the artwork on this but no way will I drop $1,200.

Not at that price. GLWS!
Thanks O-din. No nibbles in the local for a few weeks - ah, well.
If room in the truck I'll bring it to York with all the bingos.
A new bingo taking its place, so the flipper games are starting to get thinned.

The trend is pretty soon we will all just be a bunch of old people playing bingo.
I haven't played any bingo machines. What's the draw? It always looked kind of boring.
Here's a 3K Big Indian with a planking playfield and deep gouges in the cabinet. He's not even sure that it works.
@dmbjunky Bingos come in multiple flavors and each type has fantastic gameplay. You have to be very good at nudging and knowing how the ball will react as it comes down the playfield, as well as using your skill shot to your advantage - I love all pinball, but most especially the bingos. There are fewer things more exciting in pinball than when you get that last number for a 5-in-line and win 600, 1200 or even 2400 replays! Music. I'll send you a PM with a link to the podcast rather than pollute the thread with self-promotion.
The fact that they come in different flavors, each with an interesting gameplay hook means that you have to constantly shift your strategy from ball to ball - have several seemingly unconnected numbers? Move the magic screen and put them all in a section and score - but you have to do it before shooting your fourth ball! That's one example, but there are many. Love 'em. Fun to work on and they're not 3K per like the Big Indian.

I thought about buying one because they look like fun and they're "gambling machines".
Never tried playing one but there are different strategies to play them like nick rooster says.
I'll have to wait until I have the room for one and can pay the money for a good shopped working one because I wouldn't want to have to try to fix it.

do you know who picked up the Rawhide/Soccer from DeSoto? I'm 3 hours away and discussed it with the seller, but they ended up arranging another sell for Saturday morning before I could get up there to get them. I was kinda ticked off.

must have been in the living room at some time because it matches that horrible carpet color.

Cars are replaceable, is she ok? and... how many pins can you fit in it?
Quoted from John_in_NC:Cars are replaceable, is she ok?
She's fine. Apparently the truck in front of her ran into the vehicle in front of him then she hit him. When I was teaching her to drive I couldn't stress enough to stay way back from the car in front of you. So why was she following this boy so close and he was not paying attention to what was in front of him? I think I can guess what happened.
But I did get to ask her the age old question- "what does it feel like to have an airbag go off in your face?"
Quoted from Craig:"needs some cabinet work". Masters of understatement.
I think that Camry is going to need more than a little cabinet work.
Quoted from o-din:So why was she following this boy so close and he was not paying attention to what was in front of him?
Not only stay way back but also pay attention to what's in front of the driver like I do. I look through the front car windows or around the car to see what's happening. I don't like "surprises" like what happened to your daughter.
Glad she's ok!
Bruce
Quoted from PinballFever:Glad she's ok!
Thanks Bruce, so am I!
It could have been much worse. I hope she learned the lesson that you can't teach them by harping on it. I must have told her a hundred times to stay back and pay attention to what's in front of her and all around her. She only got her license a couple months ago but I spent many hours with her behind the wheel. I also pointed out the speed limit on that street was too fast and being a hill it was more dangerous. What more can you do?
