Nice Pin-up in Dubuque, Iowa

Didn't this guy have it at $1200 not too long ago - coming down......

She started at $3000 originally. It's been listed several times for $850 with no takers.

Hi-Score Pool in KC for $200 (bad back - bring help)

kansascity.craigslist.org link

A different playfield....

#8003 9 years ago
Quoted from hoov:

I'm just guessing but it looks they they did a run of cabinets with the normal metal rail and they probably had some woodrail heads already produced?
I had a Queen of Diamonds with a metal rail conversion to go over the wood. It was much more bulky looking because it had to go over the wood rail and so it was wider on top. Let me see if I can attach a pic (probably not - waiting to hear back from Robin)

QD 008.JPG 242 KB

QD 014.JPG 94 KB

I have the same metal rail conversion on a "Wagon Train" I recently acquired. Silly though, they did nothing to the wooden trim around the head.

Look past the awful paint job, and this could clean up to a nice game. For cheap too!

Anyone out in Santa Ana check this out?

orangecounty.craigslist.org link

"1950's World Series Pin Ball Machine"

#8010 9 years ago

This one happens to be a Gottlieb Astro:

watertown.craigslist.org link

I exchanged some emails with the seller, and they offered it to me for $1000 (after getting a bit more knowledgeable on the real market), and I suspect there's still room. The one picture I saw of it showed some promise.

Worth following up if you're local to it, perhaps.

Ha, they take a pic of the 4 pallets but not of the pinball.

Yow! That's a lot of headless games. Too bad. Not worth that. He should be happy to get $50 a piece for them.

Scam. Same ad & pics in DC today. You reply and they tell you it is gone but send you a link to some auction site.

Price went up another $1000

ooops, was already posted

My point was while the ad says $2K, they offered it to me for $1000. I think there's still room.

#8019 9 years ago

oh, oops. Still seems like a crazy price for a pin with no name or pics in the ad.

I would get it just to use the BG as a wall hanger, love the funky art

It's worth the $100 even as a box of parts... (not that it should be parted out)

If it was local, and I mean really local I'd probably save it. It would be fun enough to bang around on for awhile.

I actually bought a Now complete body only for $50 several years ago and it was well worth more than that.

My Aztec was being sold as a coffee table project. I saved it. I hope someday to find the rest of it.

I kept the pic from the ad.

I emailed for pics of playfield with glass off, I wanted to see what the playfield on a $1400.00 Aztec looks like.

Quoted from dasvis:

Probably the same as one on a 600 dollar Aztec.

#8038 9 years ago

The one I have is in great shape. I've see a few at shows and the playfields were all in good shape. I've been looking for a project pin to rebuild it but no luck so far. They must hold up well.

#8039 9 years ago

Yeah, I'm just curious how it compares to my $400.00 Aztec.

Played a Centigrade 37 last night, definitely going on my EM wishlist. Fun game to shoot, and I love the artwork. Had a good time with games like Jacks Open and Atlantis too, there aren't many of the 70s wedgeheads that aren't pretty good titles though.

Between your Abra and those three, they're in the top echelon of 70's games IMHO.

there aren't many of the 70s wedgeheads that aren't pretty good titles though - you haven't played them yet apparently - they're were some wedgeheads with not much to shoot at or do (get boring fast).

There's plenty I wouldn't want to own, but they're generally fun to at least walk up to. I'm biased towards titles with drops though.

Agree - they're all fun if you haven't played them before.

It sold last week. Seller never took down the ad.

Anyone here get it?

That was about as nice a North Star as you could expect to find.

The cabinet is fine by me. I'd leave it alone. Nice game!
