Quoted from Aurich:

It's really a pity the Williams games of that era had such inferior art compared to Bally. I really can't stand looking at Flash.

1000s of thrashed Flashes out there Aurich ... Could be the one for you to unleash a new improved Playfield and art package for .... It's a cool game to play. Add in a new CPU and add multiball etc and you'd have a winner.

Quoted from Aurich:

I'm looking at that Fireball II today or the Viking would tempt me.

Viking is a very cool game. Go buy it AND the Fireball II then sell a DMD and pocket the change

Quoted from CactusJack:

FBII was a dud when it came out. Not sure what people see in it these days.

I'll tell you what happened. (Shhhhhhh...) Funny, we were just talking about this last night.

I bought a FB2 about a year back. It's pretty mint. I got it for $450 in Philly area. Plus I paid him $100 to drop it to the freight depot for me. So $550 USD. When they did come up, they were generally 500-800 when I saw them.

It's a fun game with some (unintentionally) funny call outs.
Oddddin RELEEEEEAAAASSSEDDDDDDD!!
Wotannnn UNCHAAAAAAAINEEEEEED!!

So we started using these call outs all the time. Nimblepin visited and the callouts spread across the planet. Even Franck Bona is saying them in France.

Thus, game gets hyped, price goes up.

Same thing happened with Swords of Fury. That was a 500-900 game for ever. Then a few guys (mainly me lol) hype it up and now, $2000 U.S. plus everywhere. There was one sold for $2900 odd in the Cali thread last week. Dr Dude ... Same deal. Couldn't give those away 3 years ago. Now ...

Anyways, that's the FB2 story in a nutshell.

Bally's Harley Davidson. I haven't seen many of these. Really don't like that style of backbox. I think Gottlieb had a similar style at one point.

Bally/Williams attempt at a "street level" cheaper game. No ramps, early WPC board set, about 2000 units made (ish)

That one is really tidy for its age, but probably priced $2000 more than what I'd pay for one.

Some Harley guy will probably buy it as an ornament for his garage.

Quoted from CactusJack:

Even though the Backglass is a bit blown out, $1200 seems like a pretty decent price for a fairly rare game. Certainly, the best of all the multi-levels from that period (IMO).

Yeah, score ... As long as the PF is ok, hard to see it. My Solar Fire upper PF has gone a bit flakey (as has my Electra upper Pf, strangely...maybe they were made by the same PF factory)

Anyway, good game. Someone go do a deal and grab it.

Quoted from Aurich:

Yup, that's a Bally Lost World. One for sale out here actually.
orangecounty.craigslist.org link

Score!! Some people say Lost World is too easy ... Set it up tough and it's a great game.

I'm almost tempted to grab that one, it looks nicer than mine. But at 65c exchange rate, I'll have to leave it ... ((

Boy I love the encouragement but I am passing. I have to much work to do already.

Get $300! Go fetch!!

Quoted from dmbjunky:

It's funny you think Flash is better than Blackout. I keep hearing Flash is ugly and it doesn't have speech. What makes it better for you?

Flash is ugly, and it has no speech. But it's a cool game.

I'm waiting for the Aurich retheme package.

Quoted from dothedoo:

Paragon is a great game simply because it's so brutal. But really, there's only one shot on the game.

I presume you mean the bonus drops?

5x nothing .... is nothing.

So much more than one shot in Paragon.

Lost World gets a bad rap for some reason. Some people say it is too easy. The one at IFPA12 in Sweden wasn't easy, that's for sure. It's all in the setup.

Pharaoh $1000
Doesn't look too bad. Just doesn't work, it might be an easy fix. What board did this game use?

Yes, standard Sys7 boards, same as BK, Solar Fire, Jungle Lord.

Pharoah is a great game. Probably Solar Fire is my favorite of the 4, but Pharoah would be second.

Solar Fire $695 with a NOS backglass!

Score of the year!! Someone go grab it now!!

Wish I was 12,000 miles closer to some of these deals. I would have 400 machines. And nowhere to put 300 of them.
