Quoted from dmbjunky:

Blackout $450 It looks pretty nice.

He updated the ad. Sounds like he realized he underpriced it a bit for the Chicago market (I'm not sure a non-booting Blackout would be worth a lot more than $450 elsewhere) and is informally auctioning it off among the interested parties.

I would tell him to get lost if I was one of them.

Elektra $1950

He had previously listed it somewhere in the range of $800-$1200.

Another of the "Oops! Priced too low" scenarios that make Chicago CL a drag.

Quoted from dmbjunky:

That's seems a little high though. What is the price range on that pin and why, if it's high, is it higher than other pins from similar era?

Elektra is a three playfield game, though there isn't nearly as much interest in it as Haunted House.

I think his previous price was $800. I think FMV is around $1200.

Don't know where he got the idea to put it back up for $2k.

Black Hole Pinball Machine - $1200 (Naperville)
Semi-working. Ball doesn't kick out to the shooter lane.

Lusting after this one pretty hard. Waiting for a call or text back.

Quoted from Slim64:

I just sold mine fully working two days ago for the same price. Hope you get it, it's a challenging and fun game!

Tried to work out a trade---no more room for pins on my end. Unfortunately, he's only looking for a Sorcerer or project Taxi in trade. Some day.

And then something comes along that you had no idea even existed...

Apparently you could play this game as teams. Interesting. Very unique playfield too.

That's neat. Where are all these cool games in Chicago suddenly coming from?

The Force II ad is also running in Chicago. Curious.

Quoted from albummydavis:

So good he had to raise the price $200 from when it was first posted. I foresee this one turning into an auction.

I noticed the ad six hours late, predicted that is was either already picked up and gone or that there'd be a price hike (and didn't bother responding). I'm sure someone could get it for $1150 or so, which would still be a bargain.

Party Animal $1200
I think this machine is really cool but I guess I'm the only one. It's been for sale since the start of December.

I thought about making an offer on this one, but thought the price was way too high given the situation with the tough to find plastics (1 broken and repaired in a bizarre way, 1 missing).

Quoted from Luzur:

Fireball 2 Home? huh, no, i dont think i ever saw one of those, do they even exist?

No, but there are "Series 1" and "Series 2" versions of Fireball home (Series 2 has an improved PS and revised MPU).

Very strongly doubt this is what he is referring to.

It is either a Fireball II and the "professional home model" was some garbage he found on the Internet and erroneously attributed to it, or it is a Fireball home version and the "II" is some garbage he found on the Internet and erroneously attributed to it. I won't speculate.

I'd kind of like to have this one. It would fit good next to my City Slicker.

Too bad the cabinet is rough and the boards look like they'd be a nightmare to work on---I dig it too.

As I recall, WE were right. It is the seller that was wrong!
Happy New Year to all!

I declined to take a position one way or the other on the question.

Quoted from dmbjunky:

... I was surprised when someone said alphanumeric did not qualify as an early SS.

I think that might have been me in another thread?

I do think the usage tends to support my conjecture (that "early-SS" refers to those transistorized games with numeric digital score displays), but I have no objection whatsoever to you including whatever the heck you want in your thread, that your obsessive CL-scrounging keeps cool :p
