I just made this video that should help lots of you solve MANY intermittent problems with the Gottlieb System 80B games! (Unlike System 1 and System 80A games that had a different reliable return ground, this fix starts with Chicago CVubs, and then Bounty Hunter, Rock, Tag Team Pinball, Genesis, Raven Hollywood Heat, Gold Wings, Monte Carlo, and ends with Spring Break. Any game that uses the SQUARE Molex Connector. (Starting with Arena, they used a long molex connector.) Its been tried and proven for TWENTY years!! Costs $5 and takes 15 minutes! Watch and learn! Are we hypothetically saying Todd's tits are shaved?

    Todd:

Caught a mistake in the video. The "Tools and Parts Needed" graphic lists a 1/2" nutdriver. Shouldn't that be a 1/4" instead?

    Thats genius

Looks to me like he was using a screwdriver, not a nutdriver.

Probably because the nut driver wouldn't fit between the screw head and the side wall of the machine.

NOTE!!! Ice Fever Does N O T need this mod...it has reliable connector lugs on it!!! Starting with the first alpha numeric game---Chicago Cubs---and Bounty Hunter---and ending with Spring Break!! Todd

Ok thanks, anything else I should do to it? Ed

Ice Fever does have lugs...BUT it still has similar molex 093 plugs in-line going to the lugs as seen in photo #1 in Fast-Ed's pictures above. Yes, these do cause problems. I have had problems with these connectors on my Ice Fever (not nearly as nice as the one above). I cut them out and connected them direct to ground using a set of lugs eons ago.

I was using one of those screwdrivers that if you take the tip out, it is a 1/4" nutdriver...other end is a 5/16" nutdriver...very convenient as one tool can do so much! Yes...accidentally typed 1/2"! Todd

Hmm, I thought the answer was to just stay away from sys80s
