Hi,
My Gottlieb 1973 #HotShot score reels (the hundreds) are not giving exactly 500 points when triggered. see video here (

As you can see in the video it's gets the signal 5 times but the solenoid is not fully extended for all 5 strokes. Would taking it apart and cleaning it fix the problem or do I need a new solenoid?

Also check the plunger for gumminess, and if necessary read more here: http://www.pinrepair.com/em/index2.htm#reels
Make sure that the bracket that keeps the coil is place is pushed back far enough to allow the plunger to travel fully. Also make sure the finger spring that keeps the reel from reversing is adjusted correctly. By hand, just push the plunger in a bit. The reel should contact that finger spring and not allow any backward movement.
Doesn't look like the plunger is fully returning to its home position either.
