    Hey guys,

About to buy my first soldering iron (been borrowing a friend's) and wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions?

I see a bunch of cheap kits on Amazon, but wanted to get opinions before purchasing.

    Cheers

Just decided to buy a cheapo kit on Amazon. The temperature is adjustable. What temp do you ideally want if soldering wires to a flipper coil or switches?

Oh, and one more thing. What is the ideal solder to be using? 63/37? And what about thickness? I tried soldering tonight with 0.3mm wire, and it was tough.
