Here's a few of the t-moldings that I've changed. Sorry for the poor picture quality, my basement is a bit dark. Games are Cybernaut, Cactus Jack's, and Shaq Attaq. I just received an email that the t-molding I ordered for my Super Mario Bros is at the post office, so I will hopefully be posting a pic of it in this thread soon too.
Quoted from mcuzz:The black on the LOTR looks like it should have shipped that way, great color choice!
Thanks, here are a few pics of my LOTR as she now sits.

I've also included my TRON with orange trim and T-molding. The TRON was updated before my possession. While I like it in orange, blue would look better IMO.....
yeah blue might look better but the orange is still way cool.
why are the top and bottom T-Moldings still silver?

That's factory, don't know why whoever did it that way, but it breaks it up nicely, and also looks very Stern Spike like....
Speaking of T-Molding...Do I just punch T-Molding into google and buy what comes up, or is there a special size? I need to replace the molding on my Avatar. It’s all bitched up.

3/4" inch is the size need. You can also check with your local parts store or distributor for T-Molding (there are 20 different colors)
O.K. now that's impressive! really suits the theme.
Do you get any glare or distraction while playing?
I never felt the need to swap T molding until I got my SW Premium. The white T molding just sticks out like a sore thumb. It is hideous whether the game is powered on or off. Black looks 1000x better. I took a picture with one white and one black.

Hey Freddy I did mine too. I thought I was the only one. Did my RFM also.
Both those games look like they should have been shipped like that, good work.
yeah keep your old molding, there is always another game!
Quoted from Sinistarrett:I got this game this way in a trade. I wouldnt have picked this color but its grown on me.

Put some red lit flipper buttons on, it will help.
Quoted from Puffdanny:How many feet does the average back box take?
20’ is min order at t moulding . Com
Quoted from Puffdanny:How many feet does the average back box take?
I usually buy 8 feet for a backbox.
Quoted from mcuzz:Green is a great color for ghostbusters
Isn't it mandatory?!
Quoted from Scoot:It’s not really t molding but...

It's "T2" molding!

Quoted from mcuzz:I usually buy 8 feet for a backbox.
It depends which style backbox (and which manufacturer)
I often buy 10' and have a little left over. Makes me more comfortable if I mess up a cut and have to straighten an edge.
Quoted from mcuzz:Post pics of T-Molding color changes. Are you matching the color with your powder coat?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Do you have to use any glue or it just snaps into place? Thinking on doing my Metallica like in photo. Purple on the outer edges and black in the middle.

It just presses into place but run a flat blade screwdriver in the channel to clean out any wood splinters before you press the new T molding in. Make sure the channel is clean.
Quoted from mbaumle:I replaced the black molding on Lights camera action, with some silver molding. It definitely brightens up the game:

Looks like molding was installed by a hammer. This is why I want to switch the chrome of my Metallica as it looks like Stern employee took anger out after finding out he had to work on Sunday while installing it with the hammered in marks throughout the molding. What you guys use to get straight cuts on the T molding? Hobby knife, straight razor or scissors?
Also, curious as to how you guys get the molding to go around round corners so smoothly? Are you guys notching out the part that goes in channel to smoothly go around rounded corners? Very nice work guys.
If you need to hammer it in use a rubber mallet. As for the corners just cut some of the plastic from the inside off, makes the bends fit easier.
