Quoted from tracelifter:Woz is rife with problems and I knew it would be, new company and new system and it missed it's ship date by a country mile there are still people waiting for their games.
TH does nothing for me and at the price point I am out on JJP games.
MM I am ambivalent, there are a bunch of them out there, I would have ordered one but then again there is that price point and nobody has seen the build quality.
I have had and sold most of these A list games and don't see myself paying 9K + to my door for any of the remakes.
Then there is Stern, pixelated artwork etc. we all know the story but overall they are pretty reliable games most of the issues I have had are wires falling off I didn't get a ST simply because the one that looks the best has that 8K price point and I don't see almost 3K in extras there vs the pro.
On the + side I can almost buy 2 pro models for the price of one of the others.
IMO Stern wins the bang for the buck category hands down.
I just don't see the market being able to bear all of these 9K pins, when the smoke clears I feel Stern will be the last man standing.
Looking at 2014 I just don't see a game I am going to buy, maybe a STLE on the secondary market I am pretty happy with my lineup and am content just to watch the race to the 10K price point from the sidelines.
TBL is a title I really wanted but with tax and shipping we are knocking on the door of 10K and to me there just isn't a pin on the planet worth that and if this is going to be the new norm I can see myself selling off my games as I tire of them and eventually moving on to another hobby.
I also see the secondary market softening, supply is outstripping demand games that would have sold in minutes a year ago are just sitting even at firesale prices.
I think 2014 is going to be a bad year for the flippers.
Bingo.
MMR convinced vendors that $8000+ can be had all day long. It can't. I predicted this a few months ago, when MMR deliveries start, you are going to see a massive drop in pin prices. I predict around 20% and I'm sticking to it.
