You're not alone, but definitely in the minority. I'm with you though. I owned a Premium JP and couldn't get into it at all. Admittedly, part of the problem was that I suck at pinball and this game is brutal to mediocre players. Great code doesn't help when I'm bricking every shot on the right side of the playfield and usually being punished with a drain as a result. My family are worse players than I am, so they weren't fairing any better and we found ourselves looking to sell shortly after buying it. We bought a Maiden afterwards and love it.
JP is a great game. It's got a killer layout in terms of variety of shots and combo possibilities, the code is deep, creative and flexible and the premium is a great spectacle, especially with a shaker motor. I know it is great and can understand why people love it, but we found it much more frustrating than fun unfortunately.
