I'm imagining movie scenes of Godzilla knocking over and kicking his way through fake looking buildings for each ramp shot combo. CRASH - 250K, CRASH - 500K, CRASH - 750K while the theme song plays:
Never enough monsters! Imagine Godzilla Jr. playing catch and throwing you an extra ball. IT MUST COME TRUE!!!
How about fighting game style animations? Maybe various lit shots use primary and secondary attacks.
What if you could switch between Lizzie, George and Ralph? Humm.. Maybe I want Stern to make a Rampage pin??
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Exactly! The new ones would have some killer sound effects to pull from. Either way adding a sub woofer to it.
For sure the subsonics in Godzilla [2014] were some of the best. I like to replay the train trestle scene to give the windows a good rattle.
UGH. Kid pours liquid on terminal to kill Mechagodzilla.. The End.
I guess they needed the kids to have some function in the movie?? Avengers Infinity War it ain't.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:I love the show but I cannot bring myself to appreciate this game.
Takes a lot of plays to warm up to it, but I can't quit it.
Quoted from Neal_W:Kaneda says the next Stern is not a movie/music theme and it's a contemporary theme. So not Godzilla or BTTF. (in all fairness, he is right as often as a broken clock)
FYI - he gave some more clues in his latest episode that more or less confirmed the theme.
Also, the next designers up are 1Eddy 2Eliwin 3Borg-music pin.
Maybe KME Squirrelzilla will be after the next!!!111
Quoted from Utesichiban:Is pinball now popular in Japan?
In '92 when I lived there, arcades were everywhere, but I still had to travel 30min to play the only pin. A new TAF.
I go back yearly. There are some big arcades, but basically zero pinball beyond the one pinball museum in southern Japan.
Quoted from Apinjunkie:will Godzilla be revealed at Expo this year?
48 new posts.. was gzilla announced??
Stern has moved away from revealing at shows in recent years other than CES. There were always tons of bad phone vids and pinside picking it apart based on limited info.
In recent years they typically announce the title the week after a show, etc. I guess they want to steal the buzz from anything announced at the show, and it seems to aggravate the enthusiasts less for whatever reason which I bet they have noticed.
edit - another big advantage to announcing after the show is they can adjust their pricing to be competitive with anything announced at the show.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Why such a big jump on the pro?
Unfortunately their costs are up with pandemic shortages/labor, they have a 10000 pin backorder, the used market is thriving, and customers will pay it.
