I have a WOZ standard and just for aesthetics I'd like a CE or RR. But I'm in the market for a DI or PoTC (or maybe Wonka) and it seems like the CE do a good job of holding their value (esp in a HUO scenario) whereas the standards seem to get discounted quicker. I'm seeing this especially in Dialed In used machines (and back when I was shopping for WOZ). Heck, the only WOZ (aside from YBR) that are for sale out there on ebay are up there in price. Wonka seems to have a LOT of games being made in CE so that seems a bit less rare although I don't know the PoTC or DI numbers. JJP in general seems to be a good investment at this time as I have scoured EVERY source I could find for new and used games and they are few and far between. Many more on the east coast but it's like a ghost town for used (and even new) JJP on the west coast.

So, I might go for a new DI or PoTC CE ... not sure I want to wait for Wonka, just sold my TAF and I'm itching. Waiting to hear about some leads I have on some used DI.

PS - yes I know CE is Collector's Editions but so it's redundant but WOZ doesn't follow that scheme.

Quoted from KingPinGames:

Dialed in CE 150
Potc CE 200
not many of each left that I know of.
I have some Dialed in machines in stock (used, demo and nib). All are limited editions, not collector's edition though.

Thanks, saw your ads. I am talking with some local distributors but if nothing comes of that I'll contact you.

Ah crap, I said CE all along when I meant LE. So yeah....

Yeah, there are not many standards around at all either. I found a few Dialed Ins around, LE even. Makes me want a PoTC LE even more.

Just a note, you don’t need to be local to your distributor. People like Kingpin will help support you after the purchase via phone, text, and email. And if need be can contact the manufacturer on your behalf. Given how great Kingpin’s relationship is with JJP (Eric the designer of POTC is his brother after all), I wouldn’t think twice about snagging one of his DI’s. Strongly recommend it!

Thanks for that, good to hear. The only reason I thought local was for shipping necessity. If I can get local that might save a few hundred. I'll definitely contact KingPin if I go that route.

Quoted from Schabs81:

Dialed in is fun but not as good as potc in my opinion

I think that's the way I'm leaning too. Going to go play both again this weekend to try and solidify that.

What am I missing that is different on the LE versus SE PoTC?

- Invisiglass
- Shaker
- Powdercoat
- Volume control
- Color changing GI
- Star backdrop

What are the "playfield toys" that the flyer speaks of?

I've only played the LE so not sure what is missing on the SE that I might want. Although not sure there is even one LE out there.

Cave on the left wireform
Tom the spinning pirate on the right pop bumper
Topper

Thanks. I do like the GI, stars, invisiglass and powdercoat. Now to decide if I wait for a used LE to pop up since it seems like there are no new ones left. There is an ad in the marketplace but they aren't responding.
