    Quoted from jawjaw:

What would be cool is if pins had wifi capability and remote access. It would be nice to be able to run diagnostics, check switches, and all the menu stuff on a tablet device/smart phone without taking the glass off. The game could automatically update code and send notifications when problems are detected. Security would be needed but you could easily have a button or settings for activating the connection in the menu only accessed by the coin door buttons.

I was just going to say the same thing. Network Printers have had this functionality for decades. A few buttons on the printer to change all the settings through a limited interface (coin door buttons), and a web interface to point and click change everything a lot easier.

An as opposed to the USB drive, since the pin would be on WiFi, just build a service that the machine talks to and that the player could login to via the web to see their "stats". This could just be one of those card readers like the "players club" cards in casinos. insert your card and play, all stuff uploaded automatically. Pre paid credits stored on same card to not need change (or dollars), etc...

The tech is out there already in other areas. Just not merged with pins yet.
