It's all relative. There is a time and place for everything.
My little car can do 150 in 4th and still have 2 gears left (speed limited at 155) Do I do 150, no, that's crazy. 
Do I do 45 on 15 mph curves at deals gap, hell yea. 
20 miles of no driveways, houses, entrances or anything just hairpin turns and switchbacks on perfect condition roads. Do 150 and get thrown under the jail, do 45 and the cops wave at you.
