rather that then the ice rain storm here plus the temperature going from -1 to minus 19 plus 80 KPH winds and snow later day !
Quoted from Mank:A former Mayor of Buffalo, Jimmy Griffin, once said on the news during a blizzard here in 1985, “Stay home, grab a six-pack, and watch a good football game.”

Buffalo is the king of Blizzards. No comparison to Toronto that's for sure. Up north above the snowbelt here different story. Lake effect snow with winds is brutal.

I miss the Don Valley Parking Lot. Made many business drives from Detroit to Toronto and Oshawa. I never heard that the 401 was closed because of snow.
I'm shoveling nothing but sunshine these days...

That's good..was going to mention your wife is pretty hot.
2 yrs before moving the family south to Texas, we had 40” in 36 hours. I drove home 90 miles during the storm. I don’t miss any of it. Last years snow megeddon here in Texas was a painful reminder. But we were fine.
Quoted from BRONX:Nice skidoo *Lunch* you look so happy on the darn thing...
"Lunch" ? it's breakfest time , and no that isn't me on the skidoo. . lol
Grew up near Lake Ontario between Rochester and Buffalo, where "real snow is when you can tunnel through it" (which I did as a kid). Buffalo now leads the Golden Snowball most-snow race. It's not Sierra Nevada depth (20 feet+ in some places right now), but then the mountains have an advantage and I don't live up there, just visit them occasionally now that I'm in CA. I do remember one morning when we woke up to a strange buzzing sound ... the snow level was up enough above the doorbell button that the snow weight was pushing the doorbell button like someone holding it in.
