Williams Doozie Advanced Unit: I'm not sure how to proceed with the deformed spring; see attached. Maybe I could glue the bottom because it will not stay in the base? Prying the shoe doesn't seem like a good idea.

    Any suggestions is appreciated.

Check if Steve has the spring - http://www.pbresource.com/

They twist off on on from the top.

You can also desolder the shoe from the wire in back; the shoe will slide right out.

If it’s gummed up, try submerging it in isopropyl alcohol for 5 minutes.

Great idea, thanks. I was surprised to find a listing for the spring on Marco.
