I was told there would be an announcement tonight. Anyone have any idea on when CGC will let the cat out of the bag on what their intentions moving forward are?

Sent my deposit today as well. Funny thing is, I’ve wanted one forever too but the LE AFMR and MBR looked great so I went with those first. Pleasantly surprised they are selling updated versions now. Well maybe not from a money stand point but I would of bought a few things to upgrade either way.

It’s a MMR with all of the upgrades. Not like we’re buying a machine no one has seen before.

Tbh I don’t think anyone feels entitled to anything at any price point. Would it have been nice to get one for the lower price? Of course it would of been. I also see why they have kept the price on mmr as is. A lot of people bought them and continued to buy them. Would of been a pretty crappy thing to do to existing customers.

It sounds like the royal editions are priced at 10k because that is essentially the cost of buying a now CE model and paying to upgrade everything.

Hopefully will get a feature matrix soon and see exactly what’s included.

I think there is a lot of stuff floating around now. I would say contact pps or CGC. Hopefully we get some official details here very soon.

Agreed, I don't think anything should be exclusive at this point. I know CGC has released a couple more machines since they first did MMR and have introduced a 3 tiered model and price point. I own both of the other machines in the LE format as well. However, MMR was not sold to the public like that. They decided on a 1000 and then realized the demand was higher. I don't think early adopters should be left in the cold at this point. Sure no discounts, but if you want it you can have it seems reasonable.

BTW I'm not an early adopter, but was fully prepared to buy a NIB MMR. This new edition is icing on the cake. Yeah it's more than I intended to spend, but I wanted a few upgrades either way.

Well technically all the MMR’s are the high end best version. There was nothing exclusive on the LE’s besides the numbered plague and trim colors, which anyone could have done after the fact. You actually got more for your money with the LE. Everyone else had to pay more for what you got.

Ive seen this with my afmr as well. Not so much on mbr, but I’m sure it happens. Seems like it’s only a frame or 2 them it’s fine. Still prefer it though.

It’s pretty subtle and I don’t see it often.
