I'm not a fan of the new Stern power switch, and it's constantly an issue telling people the location of the switch between Williams/JJP/Stern games. On top of that I have some home made "stadium" lights that I need to turn on with a remote. There are also some arcade games with impossible to reach power buttons that are already on smart plugs. They are currently set up for voice command, but I'm not a fan of voice commands. I'd like physical buttons. I've dabbled in Home Assistant and honestly haven't had much luck. Ideally I'd mount a tablet on the wall with a graphic of the translite or marquis of the game in question, press the picture and the game turns on. I'm not sure my limited (nearly none) programming knowledge will cut it.
Ikea has some relatively inexpensive smart buttons. I have about 13 devices, that would be quite a switchbank and I have limited room. The advantage here is I can buy them locally and I believe I can put a custom graphic right on the switch.
Xiaomi keeps coming up, this is cheaper than the IKEA buttons and I believe I can use my existing hub, so a significant savings. I don't think these can be sourced locally. Not a huge deal, but still the same issue as the IKEA switches taking up a massive amount of wall space.
Has anyone programmed a Home Assistant dashboard for this?
