Just picked up an Alien Star with a rough playfield. You can count me in for one! I would love be to see these get made.

I got all excited when I saw new posts on this thread. I want to see this happen as well! X4

Well it's not as preferable as a new PF, is Hardtop a potential option on this game?

Quoted from Whysnow:

hardtop is definitely not an option IMHO
We need the real deal. Hardtops play odd and also mean lots of otherwise possibly restorable pfs get sanded into oblivion.

That's good to know. I have yet to see or play a hardtop game in person. Crossing my fingers on a new playfield someday!

I recently picked up a pretty nice unpopulated playfield for my Alien Star. Was going to have it touched up and cleared to swap in my game but if it can be used to scan for playfields to be made by a manufacturer I may be willing to lend it out to help out the group.

Quoted from Whysnow:

Mike,
PLEASE reach out directly to CPR and see what we can do here.
I think this is going to take the community working to make it happen. Guessing we would need to line up all the puzzle pieces and push it forward.

I reached out to Stu, the Art Director for CPR and he told me that they weren't interested in doing any more Gottlieb games because there wasn't the demand for it. He recommended reaching out to Steve Young at PBR.

I believe Mike S has contact Micro. He has a good enough spare that can work.

I do indeed have a spare and sent Marco a message this morning.

I just mailed my donor playfield and a plastic set to FantasticPinball so that he can work his magic. I'm glad everything seems to be coming together on this project! I know it will be a long wait but it will be worth it!

Now I just need to find time to swap it into the game. It's going to be a huge improvement!

very nice, first run from our friend up north?

Thanks. It's the sample which he posted in the thread. He does good work.
