I have 4 and am limited by budget, space and time. I got into the hobby years ago and loved EMs. I've always favored under dogs and artwork. I had the idea to have one from each era and brand, but even with that idea I don't have space. I could maybe make roome for one more, and one way or another CFTBL will make a home here. It has a special place for our family, but the cost is just insane. I don't really care about condition, so just holding out that a fixer upper or generous soul let's one go for less than current pricing!
My personal dream machine machine is Hook and it gets played all the time by us. Guests have a hard time grasping the rules, but its never leaving.
My first game ever was Fiesta by Playmatic. Its artwork and game speed is awesome. Older guests and younger guests gravitate towards it, but it hardly gets played otherwise.
Paragon is the 3rd machine and is the hardest friggin game in the world. The battle for the high score is always a huge mountain to climb, with the reigning champ usually keeping the score for 6 mos. or more. I would replace this one if I could, but it is very challenging and others like it more than me, so its staying.
The last and latest game is RFM. I love the concept and game play itself. It needs some work yet. I'm playing this one the most, but am surprised how little anyone else has played it since I got it, but it hasnt gotten a proper introduction to anyone yet. I don't see this one going anywhere, but if it were to get replaced, it would be for a modern game that would be rotated in and out of the collection.
I feel very fortunate I got into the hobby when arcade auctions were more prevalent and not so expensive. I've also not shied away from machines that aren't working and have cosmetic damage too, so that has really been how I've gotten what i consider and awesome and relatively "large" collection (Seriously, 4 machines is more than most bars or restaurants have!).
