You need to use cards that are raw cardstock on one side. Cards that are slick and shiny on both sides won't feed right. They'll either fall out 2-3 at a time, or nothing will come out. Crappy cards like Fleer or Topps from the late 80's and early 90's work perfect.
You also put the cardstock side forward so the feed wheel has something to grab onto.
