I put a strip of LEDs under the glass channel at the back of the machine. I powered them with a wall wart from a router into the service plug. I installed a bill acceptor and this game is going out in public this week. Before and after:

Quoted from Pbpins:

Just came across some NOS plastics from when I was in the club so if anyone needs a NOS plastics set(original WMS sealed bag) and a NOS fence plastic, PM me.

I'm interested in the back fence plastic. How much for the set shipped?

The card catcher is the problem transporting this one.

Who has the outfield fence plastic for sale?

Quoted from grantopia:

Can you point me to where you are looking? I know the ramp comes up for the grand slam. It seems to raise at other times during the game but I don't know what is triggering it. Nothing is jumping out at me in the manual...

Pretty sure default is to lift when the bases are loaded. I never steal unless I can't fill the bases.

Quoted from Portyman:

Just go my Slugfest Today. Is there a solution to light the playfield better? It’s kind of dark. Thanks

I did this: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/slugfest-club-back-back-back-back%e2%80%a6-gone/page/17#post-5492657

Quoted from Portyman:

Brilliant idea. Are these t he ones from comet pinball? I now have my first modding project. Thanks

No. They're just a cheapy roll of ebay. You have to solder leads to the pads. That's a little tricky, but you have tons extra when you cut to length. Something like these, but I try to get them from US suppliers: https://ebay.us/VINOfC

I'm letting mine go in Billings, MT if anyone is looking: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/124256

Quoted from RobF:

I picked up a decent condition Slugfest this past week and even though it was listed as "everything working", I quickly found that wasn't exactly the case. The center ramp wasn't going up and found the broken chunk at the bottom of the cabinet. I assume this is a common failure?
[quoted image]
I looked for a replacement, but it seems they are no longer available. I found the repair part on thingiverse for printing, but I wanted to try to 3d model the whole part. After 20 or so iterations, I have a finished part. I still have yet to test fit it, but my calipers say it will do the job. JB weld repaired original on the left, newly printed on the right. Next up is attempting to print the flap itself and then testing in the game.
[quoted image]

Please submit your desing to thingverse or at least print out a dozen or so that you can sell if they are NLA. Make a post with the original part number so you can be found. It's not about the money.. it's about keeping the games out of the junk yard! Thanks for this great post!

Take that entire card dispenser out and hose it down in the driveway. Let it thoroughly dry and you should be good to go.

Also, the cam that lifts the ramp wears out and doesn't lift the ramp quite high enough.

Quoted from midcoastsurf:

You also have the topper for it! Is this an LED strip?[quoted image]

Maybe I misundertood you. There is no LEDs up by the topper, but it does have an LED strip under the glass channel at the top of the playfield glass. I have a PC power supply plugged in the service port, so the game stays lit when you power it off.

Quoted from RobbyIRL5:

.... All of his buttons were melted....

He's got the wrong bulbs in there. Use 555's or LEDs. Also, there is a slight chance the game is wired wrong and the voltage is too high. If they still run hot with the 555's, use 5050's.

Quoted from Cmjb13:

The flipper bat on my unit will often stay up after batting.
Any idea on what could be causing this?
Thanks

There is a return spring under the table. but more likely, you have wear on the mechanicals. I just rebuilt my batting unit today and I had to add a washer to one of the pivots posts. It's hitting almost twice as hard now. Take it apart and check it out. Lube it with super lube while you have it apart.

Quoted from Cmjb13:

When I bought this, I was told it was replaced.
I think it may just need some grease as it looks bone dry.
[quoted image]

I just happened to take that entire assembly apart on mine today and the ball is hitting about twice as hard. Be sure to put some super lube on the main shaft that goes through to the top. Mine was a little gummy there. Mine was also missing one of the washers under one of the clips and that was also dragging it down a little. I bounced one off the corner and hit top glass today after it was done.
