I see the microswitch is held by the 4 plastic fingers, and have removed that. How do I remove the plastic part holding the lamp with the 4 fingers? Twist one way or another? Pull? I don't want to break anything.

Here is an example of those I found online -

You mean pull the switch/lamp holder out of the button itself ?

Put the switch back on so you have more to grab. Pull hard. Snaps back in hard too.

I've never broken one so you should be safe.

Note that if you ever replace any of those buttons with the newer Happ buttons, the lamp / switch assembly twists in / out of place. Huge improvement.

Good to keep in mind. Any used system could have a mix of old/new.

Put your thumbnail under the part of one of the four fingers that is kinda triangle shaped. It has a protruding pin that fits in the microswitch.
Pry it out a bit and rotate the switch up. Then you can move the switch sideways off of the pin holding it at the bottom.
