Some video footage of my JD with the slow-mo cam.
Its a little dark and grainy but its our first take, still kind of cool though

I LOVE these. Really shows the art in pinball. Please do more! Maybe some tricks like drop catches, and some bumper action. Which brand/model of high speed camera are you using?

Edit: Judge Dredd doesn't have bumpers...

    not sure, i'll find out.

doood i feel like i just ate something bro......like all tripped out....

I thought maybe you were talking about one of the old wide body machines with your title. If any of you have ever played Contact it plays just slightly faster than the slow motion video I just watched!

Says the man who bought a WOZ.

Wow. That's what JD would be like if it were an EM

Very cool. Great choice of music too.

Next time take the glass off though.

    Awesome video, great for reference.
I so wished I had a footage like this one of a live catch! Can't believe I couldn't find any on the web...
Also would be lovely to know what the frame rate of this video is.

Just add operatic background music and you're all set!

    #16 11 years ago

That was awesome! Your definitely on to something unique there! Love to see the ball interact with pop bumpers in slow motion. What kind of slow motion cam are you using if you don't mind me asking. Are you shooting 2x fast and just slowing the film playback at half speed?

If you have a STTNG stick your cart under the front and set the pitch at 2.5.
    Space, the final frontier.

Hey guys, we added another video. This time of Dracula and with better lighting. Hope you dig it.

    #19 11 years ago

I hope all you guys enjoy these vids, I sure do.

As a personal request, I would love to see some of the newer or A-list titles filmed in slo-mo.

Is the constant flickering because you have LED's in there?

    #21 11 years ago

Good to know that LED's are even more annoying in slow motion, LOL

Videos are great though! Very cool.

yea this if filmed at 240 FPS (and then slowed down again in post), so the LEDs flickering is incredibly noticeable.
