Slow Bumpers

Lloyd,

I just registered on pinside today. I haven't posted this question. I thought I'd start with you after trying to find a thread that addressed this issue to no avail.

I just bought a 1971 Dipsy Doodle (Williams). It plays fine but the bumpers are really slow. I own a 1974 Williams Dealer's Choice. Those bumpers are really fast - they really shoot the ball hard. The DD bumpers are very sluggish/slow in contrast.

I have not done more than move, setup, clean and replace a bulb or two on these machines. So my question is, where can I go to get info that would help me (from ground zero) in adjusting these bumpers to get more action from them. If wanted, I can post a video of how it plays on Dropbox - let me know if that would help.

Thanks!

Dr. Doodle

Dear Dr. Doodle

Do you mean pop bumpers ? If so I strongly recommend vid1900's guide to get the most out of them :

He goes into way more detail than I can here.
