With so many springs and the potential for missing internal parts I would recommend buying a working unit. I have owned several over the years and for a good working vintage mechanical slot machine expect to pay over $1,000 for a late 40s "Mills high top. I have seen mid 70s Bally's sell for around $600 -$1,200 these units will be lighted and have bells but ugly in my opinion compared to the older Mills or Jennings slots.
