I'm trying to get a Gottlieb Slick Chick up and running, and was chasing down a problem which led me to a motor 2B switch. I had to take off the C stack to get a good look at the B level switches, but it looked like when the motor was in the home position (which should be the way the switches are drawn in the schematic, right?), the switches were in the reversed state. I looked at the switch actuator attached just below the switches and found what you see in the photo - obviously, someone tried to fix a broken actuator. It was the wrong length, but the schematic does not have a motor sequence chart in it, so I don't know how long that actuator should be, or even what shape it should be.

Would the best thing to do be to call Steve Young and see if he can tell me what actuator goes at the 2B position on that machine? Or would someone out there who has a working Slick Chick be willing to take off their 2C switches and take a photo of the actuator on the 2B position? I know that's alot to ask someone... What's the best way to go?

Thanks!

I am not familiar with the score motor switch stack layout for your title. Please see the below link which shows different types of leaf switches used on gottlieb score motors (I see there are two different types operating on level/layer B).

Hoping this may help.

Thanks oldpins - I see the two different shapes of actuators on the B level in that video. I don't know if all Gottlieb score motors used the same shape actuators at all the same positions on the motor. It looks like that simple curved end on the motor 2B actuator might be what I'd need....but how to be sure?

Are you asking about the formed blade on the stack that moves the switches. Let me know if these pictures help. These are standard on all Gottliebs up until 1968 at least. The 2B is on the chart top far right A-786

Thank you fourstarstout - that's exactly what I was asking about. Yes, that A786 blade seems to be the one I need. I didn't realize that all machines used the same formed switch blades - that makes it a little easier, I guess.

Thank you for that!
