Going to go with Baywatch as well. Def go over to Pinballocks place and get a couple games in, you will not be disappointed. Also heard somebody mention Dirty Harry which is a really awesome game too.
Quoted from HighVoltage:
Did you miss "in the $2,500ish range"? RBION is well north of that.

Amen brother, Amen.

Ideally looking for something with a DMD and 2 or more ramps. Also a big fan of drop targets.
Maverick has you covered on two of three items, only one ramp but it can feed two directions. I bought one because I seen everything else and had never played one. I still enjoy it a year later. That is the definition of a sleeper to me, never saw it coming that I would like the game so much.
It is a much better card/poker drop target game than WPT to me. The drop targets on WPT are basically of no consequence in that they get completed just by the ball bouncing around during the game. In Maverick you must complete different drop banks to complete hands to start modes AND you get punished for hitting incorrect drop targets, which I like. Hit too many wrong cards and you lose the hand. The 5 modes are varied and it is a tough game to get to the wizard mode, I have yet to get there. Even a skill shot where you can start a mode called 'Draw Poker' that is just nailing drop targets for a timed period.
Let us know what you get!

I actually haven't played one of these either! I'll need to read up and see if I can track one down at the Ohio show this year to try out.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:
The problem with Stargate is somehow 4 or 5 really loud people managed to convince a bunch of other people that "it's the Gottlieb worth owning."
It's not, as it's a 90s gottlieb, none of which are worth owning. But you've got people paying WPC money for Stargate these days instead of just paying $1000 for a Mario Andretti, which makes much more sense if you really want to get that 90s gottlieb experience into your basement. Choose wisely folks!
spoken like a person that has no idea how to play SG, has never explored the rules, and just poo-poos it because "it has wierd flipper angle and I cant post pass"
SG was the foundation code idea for deep games. It falls in the same category of LOTR, TSPP, WOZ, TH, ... If you like that style of code then you will likely love SG. When set up and playing nice, SG is an absolute blast and super fun and challenging. After 5 years? of owning one I still have not made it to the end of the game.
Quoted from PNBLWZD:
Roadshow, very under rated and a lot of Pinball fun for the money.
T3 is also a lot of fun on the cheap
If you find a good road show for $2500, you let me know.
I can't think of any DMD games that are sleepers. Everything is overpriced...
I'd rather spend $1000 on a nice keeper wedgehead than $2500 on a so-so DMD.
EM's are the way to go...
NBA Fastbreak and Demolition Man are fun pins in the $2500 or less range. I owned both and had a lot of fun
Quoted from jawjaw:
RBION is a Lawlor game that is packed and a lot of funny. It's better than Monopoly but an ugly game to look at, though.
Good luck finding a RBION for around $2500. Most within 200 miles of me are pushing 4k.
Thanks
Blake

If anyone cares (ha!), I ended up getting a good local deal on a NASCAR. Spinning car target in the back, test car/scoop, spinners, 2 ramps, drops...this game is loaded for the money! Good rules with lots of modes, multiballs, and 2 wizard modes - so far I'm thrilled with the game for the value!

I care! Lol! This is one that I’ve played in location and it seems to be pretty decent. I’ve always walked away feeling like I’d pick on up if a nice one ever popped up local for a decent price. Congrats!

I'd give it the stamp of approval for sure. I had a friend over last week and we ended up playing for about 3 hours and not even realizing it. Super fun game if you can grab one!
