While waiting for this Iron Maiden premium to be revealed I landed my Slayer tickets. Who else is seeing them on this tour?

    Me, at PNC in NJ.

I was thinking about that one too. I saw them in Verona, NJ a couple years back.

Wasnt zy posting some Slayer and Stern Pinball stuff last year?

    #5 2 years ago

Ya man, see them as much as you can this is their "final tour". I have been seeing them live since the 80's. I recall seeing them two nights in a row at Lamours in Brooklyn with the Cromags......

I won't be going to Slayer, but on a related note, I was on a business trip to CT a few years ago and we decided to go the Mohegan Sun for a night out. That place is cool! We walked in and saw that these guys were playing, so what the heck we went. The line was winding through the entire casino. It was packed and they put on a great show, everyone was up and singing (and drunk).

    OK, not quite Slayer

yep. It was pretty fun. Then again, I drank a LOT of beers, so pretty much anything would have been pretty fun I suppose.

Only time I ever saw Slayer was on that Clash of the Titans tour in 1991 with Anthrax, Megadeth, and Alice in Chains.

All was going well until the circular mosh pit on the grass behind the last row of seats at the Pacific Amphitheater collapsed in front of me and I got pinned to the back legs of those seats with bodies falling on top of me. I was sure I was gonner and that my moshing days were over. It was on a slope and I was getting crushed, but somehow I squeezed out of there and lived to see another day.

Well you must see them again on this tour then.

It must have been a scary experience getting crushed like that. I don't know how I survived half of the shit I did.

Remember when kiss was unmasked in the 80s? I went to one of those shows with my buddy and we were on the floor. Gene Simmons threw out a towel so my buddy picked it up. As soon as he picked it up some chick came over and colcocked him right in the face and snatched it before he knew what hit him.

    Good memories!

No doubt! And I'd been to quite a few brutally moshing shows as far back as the early LA punk scene. Never had I been so sure of death as during that several minutes pinned to those chair legs with the air getting squeezed out of me.

But that's what Slayer's all about, isn't it?
