Came across this thread cause I have the same issue with my Skeeball machine. Coil will stay energized once you hit start and release when the 9th ball passes the ball count switch to end the game. Mind me asking if you ever figured it out?

Small update. After getting a SP45 eprom for my model S Skeeball machine the coil releases after a few seconds. So my hunch that my game was changed over to a single ball eprom seems to be true. Hopefully this info helps anyone in the future that may have an issue with their coil staying energized during a game. Not to be confused with the coil staying energized as long as the game is on. If this is the case there is probably a short.
My game is missing the rocker arm so Iām gonna now try to make something out of flat stock and what I have already. If that fails I might give the modern part a try from Baytek.
