Quoted from ViolinSteve:Yeah, the colors are off a bit. But, it's still a shiny new playfield. Got me a silver one after waiting over three years. Less than impressed.
Yeah, I feel the same regarding the Silver I received.
Quoted from InfiniteLives:hmm, so i put an nvram in my skateball board. had been using an altec while waiting for the nvram to come in.
i set everything up on the dipswitches the way I want it but after I hit the first switch it awards an extra ball...
no idea where this is on the settings... any advice?
You'll need to adjust your extra ball settings.
Quoted from InfiniteLives:I went thru the manual and anything with extra ball i have on conservative... is it a menu option thru the game settings instead of dip switches? I am at work but I'll pull up a pdf of the manual and see what I can find.
Yes, they are part of the game settings.
Quoted from FLASHBALL:New to the club!! I'm missing this same exact gate as well.
But I'm not as concerned with the gate missing as I am with the LEDs ghosting and strobing. I ordered the comet warm white frosted retro bullets. They look really nice minus the ghosting/strobing issue. I am a system11 lover and have never had this issue before.
Is there an easy solution? At first I thought of the LED OCD board but that isnt designed for these older Ballys.[quoted image]
Incandescent bulbs?
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:I sometimes lose my backround sound fx. Nothing obviously loose or damaged. Any thoughts?
Have you re-pinned your connectors?
Quoted from guitarded:Have you checked the Fuse under the playfield?
I am pretty sure that one blows and no flippers for you.
And no, the flippers do not fire during the solenoid test.
Quoted from Newhollend2:Thanks for the information, ill give it a try tonight. If that stops the issue what is the fix?
You certainly don't need to un-solder anything to check this. Slide a business card between the EOS switch contacts to keep them from making.
Quoted from Newhollend2:Good call! Thanks! So if I put the card in the contacts and it disrupts the connect the coils should stay in high power correct?
No, they'll never go to high power.
Quoted from gdonovan:Alltek or Weebly MPU will serve you well, I own both. Andrew is on the board here and contributes a lot to the community so lean towards the Weebly unit.
+1 for the Weebly CPU
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Took post out to decide where to put it.
Seems like there are many adjustments to make the game play hard.
I need to read the manual to decide how to set it up.
I guess most have it on 3 balls?
Mine is on 5 balls, but that's how I got it and haven't bothered to change to 3. Don't find it to be particularly easy, but I'm not a very good player either.
Quoted from Dakine747:Couple questions:
I've started my first CPR playfield swap ('78 Playboy, going slow and wanna get it right), and I'm interested in an ultrasonic cleaner. I just got a vibratory tumbler for the metal parts, but for the ultrasonic, where/type/quality to source?? I'm not a the king of restoration, so I really wouldn't need a PRO model.
And when cleaning up a spinner (my Skateball could use the new image), what would I include in the cleaning solution? Then, after printing and applying the image to the spinner, would I just use Triple Thick or another rattle can clear to seal it??
A buddy of mine got one from Harbor Freight and says it works great.
