What's the expected behavior for the lane change? If I hit left flipper, there is no lane change. If I hit the right flipper, lanes shift left. Is this the way it should work? I've encountered games before where only 1 flipper does lane change, but most games I've encountered they shift right.
Quoted from guitarded:Yep. Right button only.
Perfect, thanks. And it's normal for the lights to move to the left, rather than to the right? I want to make sure I don't have switches / lights placed on the wrong lanes.
Can someone check wiring of J3 on their lamp board for me?
I have two last lamps not working in my Skateball. 4k bonus, and 40k bonus.
I know the sockets and bulbs are good from jumpering them to working sockets.
I know continuity from socket lug to the board connector is good for each by doing a multimeter continuity check.
I've replaced these sockets, connectors J1-J4, reflowed headers on lamp board, replaced bad SCR on the board, and the odds against board problems would be mind bogglingly tiny at this point, as I've swapped in working boards from two other machines with the same results.
I've checked the manual vs the connector to make sure the wires are running to the run headers, and per the schematic on pinwiki, it's good.
The only thing I can think of is that the schematic is bad, and someone has wired per a bad schematic at some point.
So long story short, can someone check their J3 connector, and see if pin 1 (4k bonus) has a red wire, and pin 15 (40k bonus) has a yellow/white wire?

Wiring looks good, thanks for the pic. It's impossible that these lamps aren't lighting.
Quoted from ScottThePhotog:So I noticed this interesting brass plate with a number on the side of the back box.

I've never seen this before on any pin. Do you think this was added by an operator? It doesn't match the number under the playfield or on a tag in the backbox (which area both different numbers).

Any thoughts? Has anyone seen something like this before?
My guess would be some kind of operator's license, or a tax thing.
