Quoted from Shredso:

I think I paid around $600 for my working Cruisin upright. I frequently see the sit downs for around that price, sometimes cheaper. I was planning to swap the monitor out for an LCD, add another $100. Buy one of these.

Add a PC, in my case I have an extra. I think all in you are under a grand. Wiring to the encoder shouldn't be too difficult. It's the hours of programming getting the analog controls to work with multiple games I'm worried about. I believe most of the older games are emulated in MAME. The newer stuff is emulated with Teknoparrot, but that whole thing seems a little shady, and far less documentation. I'll make a thread if I decide to do it.

This is a much better option if you still have original arcade controls as it accepts x4 pot's as inputs. I have used one in a generic cabinet with a PC and M2 emulator for Daytona and Sega Rally using the origional pedals and steering wheel...
