My Sinbad has a button where the coin door lock should go with an orange/black and a blue/ black wire attached. When you press it the ball is released to the shooter lane. I want to put it back the way it should be and wondered where these two wires should go. Looking at ipdb pics it looks like they go to the slam tilt but mine has a brown and two white wires attached. Any help would be appreciated.

Quoted from Grizlyrig:

I wouldn't be surprised if the transistor for the kickout has failed and this button ( hot-wired ) was the work around to play the game.
-Mike

Would've been so much easier to fix the transistor. Any idea where these wires go? The outhole wiring is all complete and the coil seems okay too. I don't think the people I bought it from knew the flippers and bumpers are not CPU controlled so they thought it was working but the ball wasn't being ejected. So they had the button put in so they could have a bit of a play around.

Quoted from Grizlyrig:

You would have to follow the wires. They are clearly an add-on. The colors and cleanliness of the orange and blue wires that go to that switch do not match the era or condition of the machine.
-Mike

They look like all the other wires and appear to be original to the machine.

Quoted from 2manypins:

The blue and orange wires are from the factory they go to the slam tilt switch on the corn door.

Thanks...mine has a brown and two white wires going to that slam tilt switch. You can see them in the pic. I wonder where they go : )

Quoted from 2manypins:

Yellow wire goes to my slam tilt switch and two yellow wires go to the diagnostic switch . I have a brown and red wire that goes to the light bulb for the coin door.

Perhaps those two wires on my slam switch are yellow, not white. Still not sure where this light blue/black stripe and orange/black stripe wires go but they do look to belong on the coin door somewhere? Thanks for going to the trouble of looking though.

FYI...the machine is in nicer condition than the inside of my cruddy coin door would suggest!

I'm after a pic of the knocker coil wiring and also the ball roll tilt wiring. The black and the orange/black wires were disconnected and there's three tabs they could attach to.

Quoted from DaMoib:

The manual and, as you've indicated, IPDB show the blue/black and orange/black as being the correct colors for the slam switch. This switch is wired in series with the ball roll tilt switch (orange/black wire). As others have said, you need to look around (on the tilt board, bottom board, head) for evidence of the hacks - those wires being spliced, the source of the new slam switch wiring, any additional wiring tie wrapped to existing bundles and other general monkey business. You have said that the insides are in good condition, I'd think the changes would stand out.
This certainly qualifies for the hacks and door bell threads![quoted image]

If you look at my pic the orange and blue wires should be on that slam switch...can you see the black plastic sleeve? That should be directed to the switch where that first coin mech would sit. I'm thinking the two yellow wires and the brown with white stripe should go to that...can anyone confirm this?
I'd appreciate a pic of that rolling ball switch as my black has been disconnected and there's two places it could connect to. Also after a pic of the knocker unit wiring...thanks!

Got all the wiring sorted; I hope. When I switch it on I get the 5 second delay and the 4 score displays light. It may or may not add credits as that display is blank at this stage. The credit button sometimes works. The ball doesn't automatically eject. If I flick the ball out it goes to ball 1 and I have to repeat for each ball and then it goes to game over but doesn't scroll to high score. The game scores properly except for a few switches but only the red target bank resets. No sounds from the chimes except when I switch the game on.

The spider chips were stuffed so I replaced the CPU.
