I'm working on a sinbad, trying to replace with leds. Some sockets will not light with the tin based bulbs no matter what I do. I put in old brass base, it works fine. I've cleaned, scuffed, both bulb and receptacle, nuthin works. Any ideas?

interesting..... have the same machine and was also thinking of the LED upgrade pack. Are the ones that are not working the exact same style of socket or is it random?

Same sockets throughout. I did get some cheap color change leds today from pinball life.25 each, and they work great.

Are these socket or wedge bulbs?

    Socket. Game is 1978

Just "wing'n it" here, so bear with me... Perhaps the distance between the bayonets and the bottom of the bulb (the other connection) isn't as long or as wide, so the spring isn't touching. In the past, I've built up the solder on the end. But if you try this, be careful and don't damage the bulb. A small solder tip is needed with just enough heat to build up a little more solder. You don't want to unsolder any of the internals! Pulling up the spring to extend it a little can help too

Any chance the bulb is just for DC? If the polarity was wrong, it wouldn't work. A bulb good for AC would fix that.

    Just my two cents!

Nope. Tried all that. Used some non working bulb in diff socket, worked fine. No matter how hard I twisted, pushed, wiggled it wouldn't work. But the cheapie color changers are working great. I recommend buying em b4 they sell out. At .25 each, I bought another 25

I guess don't fret it and use the other bulbs!

Put in new inserts, color changers on bumpers, multipliers, and 1 to 10,000
