My rift died awhile back and I haven’t done anything since. I don’t have a full cockpit just a wheel stand with an accuforce v2. Thrustmaster pro pedals with load cell on the brake. Thrustmaster shifter.
I Really enjoy when I actually get to use it. Still have triples but their so old the only way I could use them and get above 60hz is to buy a bunch of adapters. One of these days I want to build a proper setup that is more permanent that I can just sit down and play when I have the time.

what i hate about driving in Rift, is that i have to take it off to set everything up in the menu, then put it on, then choose a new course, so take it off again.. well it depends on the game menu... or have a long cable for the mouse that sits beside me on the seat. which hurts my hand...
but for the experience it is definitely worth it.
I think I liked the VR route better than triples. Don’t get me wrong they both have their pluses and minuses. I do plan to get another VR but will probably go higher end this time. I was running a first gen rift on a 970 so pretty much as low end as you can get with VR.
I could see getting triple monitors but with higher res once I get a real rig setup. Part of the reason I don’t/didn’t play much was the amount of crap to had to mess with to get ready to race or practice. I only have one Desktop in the house so I can’t leave a wheel sitting in front of it constantly.
Might have to buy one of those 49” monitors. Had 3 27” but not really feasible. One day I wouldn’t mind getting a rig I can put in the basement and get some nice larger monitors to run triples again.
