Do the volume buttons work? That will help determine if it's the entire bank of buttons or just the menu button itself.
The 3 buttons don't do anything.
And like I said , the screen on the backboard doesn't display anything

Power off, unlock backbox (key likely hanging on a hook inside coin door), remove translite.
Look for the big board with a battery holder holding 3 AA size batteries. Batteries leaking at all? Any corrosion around that area? If no corrosion anywhere and you haven't changed them lately, replace them with new batteries (noting polarity of each) and see if anything changes.
Still no love? With coin door closed, power on the game and tell us which backbox board LEDs are lit, are flashing or are not lit.
